Symptoms
Problem Statement: When attempting to run the Retry a Payroll Process (i.e. Payroll, QuickPay), the following error occurs. ERROR HR_6860_HRPROC_INVALID_PACTION APP-PAY-06860: Specified payroll is invalid. Cause: The Payroll specified does not exist. Action: Enter a valid (existing) Payroll value.

Steps to Reproduce: The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps: 1. Run the retry payroll run process 2. Check the resulting log file

Cause
The Retry Payroll Process (i.e. Payroll, QuickPay) - PYUGEN is expecting only the input parameters: Process Name Payroll Run

but it is also getting the parameters: Process Year Payroll Process Hidden

Development have been working an internal bug on this issue Bug 9863804 RETRY PAYROLL RUN/RETROPAY FAILS WITH AN ERROR,

Solution
1) Bug Summary: Description: Retry Payroll Run and RetroPay Fails With an Error Workaround: No workaround Resolution: Fixed the issue by modifying parameters for the above two concurrent programs

Solution / Action Plan To implement the solution, please execute the following steps: 1. Download the appropriate patch for your environment (see table above) 2. Ensure that you have taken a backup of your system before applying the recommended patch.

3. Apply the patch in a test environment. 4. Confirm the following file versions against the file version listed in the table above (file version should be greater than or equal to the file in the table) You can use the commands like the following: strings -a $PAY_TOP/patch/115/import/US/payzzcncprg00228.ldt |grep '$Header' strings -a $PAY_TOP/patch/115/import/US/payzzcncprg00668.ldt |grep '$Header' 5. Retest the issue. 6. Migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.
