SuperMarket Management System

Abstract :
The facilities prerequisite in this software is inventory management, purchasing and receiving, price verification terminals, label and promotional sign printing, customer accounts and safe management, and wireless ordering solutions. There is also a flexible reporting solution. The reports can be generated according to Sales reports by products, by margins, stock count, trends, cost management, inventories, cashier balancing, etc. It can also support multi store operations by incorporating reliable store level Point of Sale and a solid enterprise solutions. There are other features like on line internet connections for live head office polling and price updating, html coding for complete customizable screens etc. The latest versions have been designed keeping in mind independence between the server and the points of sale units. Store Management Suite is a relational database and therefore simplifies operations and offers management and analysis tools that are both fast and precise. data warehouse architecture is utilised in the database's structure.

Existing System :
o Due to partial computerisation of outlets , the company could not derive the intended benefits of accurate and timely report on sales and stock.

o Sharing of login IDs and passwords defeated the very purpose of control as accountability, confidentially and integrity of data and program would be affected. o Absence of uniform coding procedure led to escaping commodity-wise accounting.

Disadvantages of Existing System :

The Overall volume of your business has grown exponentially. The items and the suppliers you have been dealing have grown in numbers. Day by day it is becoming

increasingly difficult to manage it with the current method of running business. All your business partners have joined the technology bandwagon and they have changed their style of business. Even your customers are demanding the speed with which you need to respond and deliver. Tomorrow they will expect you to take orders on web and so on.
