SUBJECT: Cordial Invitation to Participate in the Preparation & Sending-Off Ceremony of the Houston Benevolent Container to Benefit the Floods Victims of Pakistan 2011 Greetings. As you are aware, record floods have ravaged the humanity in Pakistan second year in a row. To have an effective Houston response, a broad-based Alliance of Pakistan Floods Relief Efforts comprising of 25 Organizations & Associations and 12 Community Based Media Partners, was formed with the purpose of raising monetary donations and doing an in-kind donation drive, by gathering useful nutritious food & essential hygiene items, to be sent from Houston to Pakistan in goodwill buckets donated by Angels in Cowboy Boots (AICB). By the Grace of God, Alliance has worked hard on both the tasks; have up till now gathered more than $76,000 in monetary donations; and this coming Saturday and Sunday, December 03rd & 04th (10am.-4pm.), we will be accomplishing the in-kind donation undertaking, with the final preparations of 40-Feet Container at Pakistan Center in Southwest Houston. With this communiqu, we would like to most cordially invite you, your family, and friends; to please bless us with your presence as volunteers in the preparation of this container and also attend a special sending-off ceremony of this Houston Benevolent Container to benefit the floods victims of Pakistan, where we are expecting diplomatic & elected officials and media to be present: Special Ceremony - When: Saturday, December 03rd, 2011 at 3:00pm.
