GUILTY! BY: Glecy I.

Gahusta The noise and the chaotic situation inside the little courtroom were deafening. It was unbearable and the young girl wearing a striking orange suit with chain on her hands cant bear the noise and the loudness inside. All the eyes of the people who are in there were looking at her and they shouted in chorus, Guilty! Guilty! without even hearing her reasons and defends. All of the people around her were condemning her and nobody believed her. She burst into tears and say, Im not a criminal. Why should you prosecute me? I did not kill anybody, was all she was able to say but it turns out to be an unheard voice that was blown together with the breeze and now its gone. Nobody notices it and nobody would even accept her to say anything to defend herself. Their minds were all closed and locked up that she was the criminal and therefore she should be pleaded guilty by the honorable court. The girl could do nothing. Her family and close friends whom she thinks had known her better than anyone else were in one with the people who want her to be rotted in jail. They were all condemning her. Nobody stood on her side to support and fight on her behalf. Right then she was convinced that no matter how innocent she was, no matter how shed reason out, at the end shed still be pleaded guilty with the baseless accusations that they had stoned at her. And so she decided to just let the things be. She is now willing to suffer the consequences of her sentence after this senseless hearing. Hearing huh! How could it be called as that when nobody listens to her side of the story, theyll shunned their ears and would not open it to hear her affiliations. She knew that it was useless. She stopped speaking for it is much better to just stay silent. She would never reason out again to such narrow-minded heads who want to speak and express only their side of the dilemma. She may have suffered now but she knew things will fix its own twists and turns in time and when that time comes she is determined to slap to their faces the horrible nightmare that she had suffered. Someday she would get up from this hole where she had dropped while innocently walking down the busy street full of buses and noisy jeepneys. Someday the world will not be the same again and if it will take her to its turn on its way to the top, by then shed let them feel the humiliation and loneliness that she felt when they all doomed her to suffer their sins. Right now the time is tickling, determined to take us to that someday that she has been waiting and when that time would come, everything will not be the same as the way it is today for by then theyd be the one who will be pleaded guilty and the last echoes of laughter would soon be hers.
