CADETS MOMENTUM Yearn To Lead

to be good role models. Thus, we really have to seek out the best leader in town. A leader must have a brave; sincere heart. A leader works hard too. He does not sit on the job. Well, at times, doubts come to my mind when I see some student leaders around. I cannot keep myself from wondering if they are doing their responsibilities as leaders or not. Whether they have created the change or they simply let change endures them? So, as I take the cudgels of leadership in school, changes in my life begin to happen. These allow me to involve myself in school organizations like Campus Ministry, Kanlungan Pilipinas, and The Featinian. All these, I know, will develop and improve me as a young leader. Through my different experiences in the various organizations that I am into, I get to learn a lot of things. Tactics and solutions come along the way with each problem I face. Though a bunch of stuff keeps blocking my path, I will always look on the other side of the coin: a side that triggers me to accomplish my goals in life. Obstacles challenge me to be better and to be a good person. I shall remain humble as I do my duty to the student population of Feati. One outstanding trait of a good leader is true humility. At this moment, changes in me are still in progress. I notice that God works in mysterious ways. I realized that a leader should always be acquainted with change. Permit me to finish my piece with this quote from the bible. I can do everything and endure changes through Him who gives me strength. ~Philippians

Be the change you want to see in the world. This striking statement made by the famous Mahatma Gandhi, an Indian leader, has really caught my attention. Taking note of his Top 10 Fundamentals for Changing the World has great effect on me. It is true, that aspiring for change must start in us. If we yearn to be a good student leader, we must think of the changes that we, by hand, are willing to undergo because leaders are not born, they are created and honed through time, people, difficulties, and even personal sacrifices.

Leaders are the cream of the crop. They do not lead, rather, they follow. They are the ones who establish and impose rules and regulations which they themselves must obey. The reason why they should comply with these rules is because they need

A Positive Perspective, A Progressive Philippines in 2025.

Be the change you want to see in the world. This is a famous saying of Mahatma Gandhi, an Indian philosopher who became an important figure in the history of India during the Twentieth Century. His notable deeds were all acts of fighting for Indias freedom through his principles: love, truth, and non-violence. Be the change you want to see in the world - every time we see or hear this maxim, we, Filipinos, would often say, Madaling sabihin, mahirap gawin. Yes, it is hard to do this, knowing that when we turn the TV on, tune in to a radio program, surf through the Internet, or flick the pages of a the newspaper, we frequently see news about the governments ceaseless fuss against GMA-and-GMA alone has seemingly unending lists of anomalies; the nonstop rallies of the many different militant groups along Mendiola; the execution of a Filipino drug mule in China; the torturous Cavite dog fighting ring ran by Koreans; the Ramjen Revillas death; and even at times, we also get news telling us the projections of the status of the country by 2025 like the alarming state of absolute water scarcity and the terrifying continuous destruction of rainforests leading to an estimation of Philippine forests disappearances by that year. With all these hitches and glitches happening in our country, it is truly very difficult to hope for change. And much harder, to be the change! But, have we never come across to the questions, Bakit nga ba gustinggusto pa din ng mga OFW umuwi sa Pilipinas? A speaker in a forum once shared, Ang Pilipino daw ay mataas ang I.Q. at E.Q., pero kulang sa P.Q., Patriotic Quotient. Actually, we, Filipinos, are known to be hospitable, courteous, and freedom-loving people, who have long forgotten one important trait which is, patriotism or nationalism. We show great hospitality to foreigners and complete strangers, but we never show kindness and generosity towards our countrymen in our own land. We are well-known for being polite, but we never show respect or consideration to our fellowmen. We love freedom, but we never practice it in a way we can all get a better outcome. We are very good at condemning, criticizing, and butting in all the hullabaloos of people and our country, but all these snags, we see them as they are, we dont look at them in a positive view, we dont see them as opportunities for us to change. Be the change you want to see in the world. Be the change you want to see in the Philippines. We all can be the change. We all can make changes. Changes must be attained through peaceful means. Changes that, once summed up, can make a healthier Philippines. Lets do away with violence, infighting, or aggression. We can start now. We can start by volunteering ourselves to a just cause, by getting involved in worthwhile endeavors, by uniting our efforts, by doing our share in the development of our nation. In this way, we will have a positive perspective and a progressive Philippines in 2025.

If PACUCOA accepts FEATI, it would mean that the university has met PACUCOAs standards and that the university is ready for the next step. Marine Engineering, Marine Transportation, Aeronautical Engineering and Geodetic Engineering are the courses to be accredited. The PACUCOA officers interviewed some students, faculty, and administrative officials. The team also went to observe classes to check on how FEATI professors teach the students. They inspected all the facilities and looked at all documentation. It was a step up the ladder. Hence, Things Are Looking Up at FEATI.

CAMPUS MINISTRY JOINED YUP PEACE LEADERSHIP TRAININg 2011
By Melvin T. Besin Yup Peace Leadership Training is an annual training event composed of student volunteers coming from different schools and universities in the Archdiocese of Manila. It aims to strengthen the volunteers purpose: to be servant leaders and builders of faith communities. Thus, this mission goes beyond serving in the liturgical and worship services of campus ministry. It is also an opportunity for the youth to share their God-given talents. FEATI University Campus Ministry - student volunteers attended the Yup Peace Leadership Training-Batch 12 last October 2430, 2011 at St. Ezekiel Moreno Pastoral Center in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro. The volunteers had undergone screening before three were finally selected to represent the university in the said leadership training event. They were: Maria Dona Cone Anoba (2nd year, Geodetic Engineering student), Joshua Ivan Carlo Gonzales (2nd year Aircraft Maintenance student), and Melvin Besin (1st year Marine Transportation student). The one week event facilitated by the campus ministers headed by Ms. Lou V. Asence and Br. Romelito T. Valen, SC, the coordinators of Yup Peace Batch 12, began with a forum in the afternoon of October 24, followed by the first plenary session that discussed about Panata Module. It highlighted the vision of the nations new leaders and the deep sense of hope in the midst of all the pains and sorrows happening around the world. In the succeeding days, all the other plenary sessions were held. The second plenary focused on Pangarap and how the present reality and all its elements affect our dreams. It was lectured by Sr. Jelli, the campus minister of LPU. The third plenary talked about Pagdadanas and Pagtataya, were delivered by Ms. Becky Baldonado, Archdiocese of Manila Campus Minister. GE Team Building 2011

By Darwyne G. Alonsabe

For the first time in Geodetic History, the FEATI University Geodetic Engineering Department formed another strong bond for its students, the G.E. Team Building 2011. This was mostly for the cooperation and bonding of the students. It aims for the unity of all GE students from all year levels, getting to know each other, setting aside problems and have fun. Discovering Differences, Breaking the Barriers, and Harnessing Oneness, these three are the the theme of the G.E. Department Teambuilding camp 2011, which was held last October 17-18, 2011 at the Pacita's Garden, San Pablo, Laguna. The Geodetic Engineering Department Student Council (GE-DSC) officers, with their President, Mr. Richard Charles Vasquez, together with their event coordinator, Mr. Herald Villarca together with the support of the Students' Association in Geodetic Engineering (SAGE). The students were divided into 6 groups with their respective leaders who came from the officers of SAGE and GE-DSC. Mr. Villarca, the event coordinator, prepared many exciting activities on the event. One

of the activities is the wet and tiring, WAR Game, where each members of the team have paper tags and each team were given plastic bags and a bucket of water then you know what to do. The thrilling game made the students super excited and super wet on the on the battlefield of blasting waters. On the night of the first day, the fascinating view under the stars on the blanket of darkness was breathtaking and sitting around the bone fire where the next program occurred. Each team prepared their own cheers and skit to be performed that night. After that, consecutive activities follows like the Girl Pick-up and the GE Ambassadress 2011 which lasted until 12 midnight. The next morning another set of activities were lined up, first one on that day was the Amazing race, where each station has a challenge. The aim of this activity is the 2nd theme of the event, which is breaking the barriers. Of all the activities set up this must be the most tiring. Next activity, we transferred to a nearby swimming pool, the activity was a ball game, more like basketball. Last on the list of activities was the Iisang banka tayo as to refer the 3rd theme of the event Harnessing oneness. After all is done, each stu-

dent had made a commitment and the Time-capsule was presented. Each student need to put one something that is hard to let go to prove their commitment. This was probably the most emotional part of the event. All went well, all were happy and all were inspired and the best thing was the all enjoyed the event and the Geodetic Engineering spirit was present to all the GE students.

Tunay na Kayamanan

Diksyunaryo Noon VS. Diksyunaryo Ngayon
Marie Joy Molina

18 years old nga pala at kumukuha ng kursong Fine Arts sa FEATI University.

Merry Christmas, Featinians!

The Advent of Christmas
By: S.T.S. What do we usually do whenever we expect somebody to visit us at home? Which part of the house we try to fix? Which part of our body we make sure looks great?

From The Featinian Publication

For the house, some may say it is the restroom that should be made thoroughly clean because it cannot escape the perusal of the visitor who always uses it to refresh himself. For the body, we will have various answers of course. Though, a number of us will surely pick the face. Why the face? This is where most of us focus first our attention. Indeed, we are already very conscious about our appearance. More so, if we are advised that God Almighty is coming and arriving in our midst. Surely, everybody will be very excited knowing that Jesus Christ, our Savior, will be with us. This time, we shall not be particular only about our looks but rather on how pure and deserving we are to stand before His Holy Presence. The Advent of Christmas is just the same as what I told you above. Advent is the time given to all Christians to prepare themselves for the coming of the baby Jesus, while Christmas is Christs Nativity. Moreover, present day yuppies would define Christmas as Christ amidst men who are sinners. In fact, Christ is the reason for this season. In Advent and Christmas, we commemorate His first coming to Earth as well as His second coming as Judge at the end of time. Hence, it is during this season that we observe repentance, prayers, anticipation, hope and joy. It is when we humbly open our hearts to Him and to our less fortunate brothers & sisters that we are able to celebrate Christmas meaningfully. Meanwhile, the most popular symbol of Advent is the wreath having four colored candles in it. In the center of the wreath lies a White Candle. Three of the four candles are colored purple and one is rose-pink. The first purple Candle known as Prophecy Candle is lit on the first Sunday of Advent. It symbolizes hope. Then, the Candle of Love, Bethlehem Candle, is purple too in color and it is lit on the Second Sunday of Advent. On the third Sunday of Advent, the colored rose-pink Candle of joy known as Shepherds Candle is lit. Next, the last purple Candle which is called the Angels Candle represents peace. It is lit on the Fourth Sunday of Advent. Finally, on Christmas Eve, the White Center Candle which stands for Jesus Christ is traditionally lit. To this day, a week before Christmas, have we prepared ourselves well? Are we now ready to embrace Him in our pure and humble hearts? I hope we all do.

A blessed Christmas to one and all!

The passing of a great patriarch...

BASIC WISDOM
How will life be without the truant men, And all else live upon their bread alone? What essence would it make without the trust From which all jobs invest a glorious plan? Where will men go without purposive deeds, Wherein all thoughts should be that positive? For whom will be those priceless values cast, When leaders just pervert what By Engr. Jaime Dominic C. Panelo they believe? How will our world unite so peacefully? Aristocentric claims of sovreignty! Is it that hard to rectify beliefs For ecumenical philosophy? How good could logic fare against the odds Without the wisdom God has given us? How dumb we are to search for it in grief, When it must all begin with fear of God! A hands-on boss, disciplinarian, and a well-respected person: that is how he was described by those who knew him. Dean Jose M. Segovia, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of the Philippines, and a masters graduate of MS Electrical Engineering in Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute found in New York, USA, became the dean of the Institute of Engineering and Technology in FEATI University in 1963. In 1981, he became the University President. Dean Segovia, during his presidency, was very involved in FEATI. He was said to be seen roaming around the campus corridors, checking on each classrooms, the students, and teachers, staff, and other personnel. He has shown great dedication to the university that made him earn the respect of everybody. Later, he became the Chairman of the Board of Trustees until 2008 and was also named as one of the 100 Outstanding Alumni Engineers of the Century by the U.P. College of Engineering and the U.P. Alumni Engineers. Dean Jose M. Segovia, a well-valued person & a great patriarch of Feati University has recently passed away at the age of 91. He shall forever be remembered and loved.

By Engr. Jaime Dominic C. Panelo I am a beggar child. Am I glad for the morn When people pass me by And look at me with scorn? Had not my spirit tough, I wouldnt have lived long; To scan the trash Im glad While listning to a song. Did God so plan my birth And scourge my sinful soul? wish all men with good deeds Be places in better world. Who chose to bring me here? They should have planned my life. If I could go to school, Thered be a lesser strife. Faith, hope, and charity Are keys to heavens gate. I am a tool for God To judge a mans good faith; But some are lucky though, To sleep in pleasant home, While I cant have a job Nor be warmed from a storm.

The other one is for a good weather, So that everything will be fine when were together. If I had a wish from a fairy, That wish is for me to have a family. Let it be him that serves as its strong foundation, Let be his love my inspiration. If I had a wish from a shooting star, It is for us not to be so far. Let him stay with me til the day I die Make him say to me a loving goodbye. It is too much, what I ask, I know, But if youll know the reason then you wont argue. If you think, it is the knight in shining armor Im wishing, A yes would be a proof that Im lying. I guess you wont understand me, Why him and his love would make me happy. If its not my prince charming the who is he? Well, it is just a FATHER, that time and chance did not give me. So if I have all the wishes of the world, Those wishes would of that man so old. I would wish for us to be together to finally feel sanctify of having a FATHER.

You Found Me

Chances Are
Melvin T. Besin I ask my mom bout this man but she did not make me understand, So I grew old without even knowing him, I did not bother coz I never felt him. And then death greeted me one day, He said I live my life and was happy, I did not hesitate to grab his hand when he wanted me to come, But after 3 hours he left me and left a key in my palm. I woke up the next day in front of a huge gate, The guard I saw was for me cost so great, When I passed by him he said wheres my passport, I remembered deaths gift the key thats old. I was holding the key in front of that big gate, The guard was curious and told me to have some FAITH, I was afraid maybe the man inside wont accept me. He said chances are even before that man inside had loved me.

1. A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he wants. A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesnt want. 2. A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife. 3. A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man. 4. To be happy with a man you must understand him a lot & love him a little. To be happy with a woman you must love her a lot & not try to understand her at all. 5. Married men live longer than single men, but married men are a lot more willing to die. 6. Any married man should forget his mistakes-theres no use in two people remembering the same thing. 7. Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed. Women somehow deteriorate during the night. 8. A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesnt. A man marries a woman expecting that she wont change & she does. 9. A woman has the last word in any argument. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

Alone at the corner I sat, There I was, Stained and tarnished. Stiffened by the blizzard of despair. There, I was, Rubbish and worthless. Dejected; blotted with shame. A single step you made, Towards my ugliness and disgrace. You lift me up with the calmness of your touch. Your tenderness, Softened the stone in my heart, The moment you made my heart beat, My soul recognized your face. Here I am Holding your hand; Tightened by the rope of your love. You washed the mud on my feet, So I can walk with cleanliness and faith. Now, You found me at last. Take me with You, Until the endless days come.

William...
By Saxs Gabrielle P. Santos
Id like to begin this writing with this SMS conversation in the late morning of September 1, 2011: Jay: Patay na daw si William Ojascastro. Me: G*g* ka, Jay. Joke time ka ha. Jay: Oo nga, dito ako FUSSC That was my exact reaction when I heard about the news. I did not believed in Jays message at first. Knowing his being a jester and fool at times, I took his message as a prank. Although it really bothered me, making me so disturbed that day, I still stick to thinking that it is just a mere joke. Not until Cedrick called us up, confirming about Williams death. William, described by those who knew him, is a trustworthy friend, a passionate leader, and a responsible student. He spent four, long and fruitful years in FEATI University as a Bachelor of Science in Customs Administration student. He served as an eager beaver and a passionate FUSSC President during his time. Founding Kami Mismo Party late 2009, I for one, was able to know him as the president of the close rival of Vigilant Party where I am belonged to. William, as Ive seen him, is a dedicated person. He is nice, friendly, approachable, a guy with a smiling face. I always see him roaming around the hallways of FEATI during school days, waving hi and greeting hello to anyone he meets. He has a great heart thats always available for anyone who needs it. He is simple, helpful, and a down to earth person. A very enthusiastic, determined, and goal oriented. He spent, along with his four years in FEATI, in the service of FEATI University Supreme Students Council. He served for us, Featinians, in as much as he can. He served without expecting from us in return or any other. He simply put his heart in bringing changes in the university. Cedrick, Williams former trainee, workmate, and best friend, even said, Ang dami nyang na-i-ambag sa FEATI, and I salute him for that.

I am not really a close friend of him, nor a confidant. I am only a mere schoolmate of his. I only got to know him quite well when he helped us work on with the school paper a year ago. After that, we only got small talks about school politics and activities, stuff like that. But despite those nofeelings-attached-moments, theres that holding off feeling inside me that really urged my heart, moved my mind, and pulled my feet to his wake, coz if not, I, sure, will be doomed to so much guilt of not seeing him even for the last time. When I entered the place where he was in, I felt this so mixed up emotions. I saw his mother talking to him through the audio-visual presentation made by his closest friends. She was crying, saying, Yung anak ko oh Bye anak, then she would cry back again. I felt so burden inside. I feel for his mom. Id go crazy if I was her. But regardless of those depressing moments, his friends, especially Rhoziel, would tell us, Ohh, ayaw ni William ng ganyan, gusto niya laging masaya, and then we all tried to smile and just accept, accept, and accept his passing. I even remembered his aunt saying, Kayo ang mas madalas kasama ni William sa school, kaya sana huwag ninyo siyang kakalimutan.

William George Ojascastro died on August 31, 2011. His life on earth may be that fast, but one things for sure, William made a mark in each and everyones lives.

Forever be cherished, we miss you, William. . .

FEATI UNIVERSITY RECOGNITION DAY

August 10 is University Day at FEATI University, because on this day in 1959, FEATI Institute of Technology became a university. In the recent years, University Day has become associated with the recognition of honor students and board exam passers, as well as the formal recognition of qualified student organizations. This year, the event became more meaningful when in addition to the standard events, the duly-elected officers of the different student organizations and the FEATI University Supreme Student Council, were inducted into their positions. Organized by the Office of Student Affairs under the leadership of Dean Sr. Nicetas M. Favorito, DC, the Event began with an opening prayer by the Campus Ministry that was immediately followed by the entrance of colors by the 275th NROTC Unit. Ms. Salvacion T. Sacaguing, Master of Ceremony and Chairperson of the Communication Arts department, started the formalities by introducing College of Business Dean Tristan H. Macapanpan for the welcome remarks. To give a better understanding for difficulty in maintaining an academic scholarship and of the benefits to be obtained, Mr. Richard Janer of the Guidance and Counseling Office explained the rationale and criteria of the various academic scholarships. To qualify for this elite club FEATI students have to maintain grade point average higher than 2.0 without any failing grade or incomplete grades. The awardees are further distinguished by their averages into Deans Scholars, Presidential Scholars and Board of Trustees Scholars. Don Salvador and Dona Victoria scholars were also honored. Here are the academic scholarship awardees. Deans Scholars Presenters were Dr. Milagros P. Navarro, Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences and Education; Arch. Maria Joycelyn B. She then inducted the organization officers into office and handed out certificates of recognition. This was followed by the Deans of the various colleges who inducted the officers and representative of the Departmental Student Councils into office. The crme de la crme of all student organizations, representing the students themselves is the FEATI University Supreme Student Council (FUSSC). The official proclamation of the newly elected officers for Academic Year 2011-2012 was made by the COMELEC Chair, Ms. Nancy Cabuhat of CASE, while the oath of office was administered to them by FEATI University President Dr.-Ing. Adolfo Jesus R. Gopez. Inducted into office were: President - Cedrick V. Berones; Vice-President - Ma. Isabel V. Fornigones; Secretary - Jessa N. Batac; Treasurer - Ria Mariz B. Panlasigui, Dean of the College of Engineering gave the closing remarks to end the recognition ceremonies and give way to the activities of the various organizations. For the direct benefit of the students, booths and exhibits entitled The Orgs at a Glance located around the Activity Center now became the center of attention. Among those who exhibited were: Aviation Society for Research and Development, Campus Ministry, Students Association of Geodetic Engineering, The Pirates (College of Maritime Education Students Organization), FEATI Art Group & KAMERADARE, Students Chapter of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, FEATI Computer Society, KANLUNGAN, Junior Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (JPICE), FEATI Peer Group, KAMASKOM, FEATI Tourism Society & FEATI Business Group, ECE and EE Students Organization. In addition, there were various sponsors booths of Chippy, McCormick, Clara Ole, and Sony Vaio. Recognition and Organization Day is an event that the Office of Student Affairs gladly organizes entirely for and on behalf of the students and their parents. We like to think of our preparations as a gift for FEATI students who truly deserve to come up on stage with their parents and receive recognition for their hard work and dedication to academic and athletic achievements. In todays world where young kids are so into texting and the Internet, studying is often thought of as boring and unimportant. It really gives us great joy to discover that there are still students who prioritize studying and excellent grades, as an imperative, said Sr. Nicetas M. Favorito. Later in the afternoon, a Rock-Back-To-School Concert, in cooperation with the FEATI Events & Promotions, featuring Imago, Pedicab, and a few up-and-coming rock groups literally shook the University with their creative outputs. Musicality was really in the air that afternoon and served to cap a long but satisfying day. -Ms. Almond Duldulao

SEAHAWKS MALE SPIKERS: 3RD ISAA VOLLEYBALL CHAMPS

Seahawks Spikers hungry for more!

The FEATI Seahawks Spikers soars high in the 3rd season of the Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA). The FEATI Seahawks Men coached by Coach Christopher Laco Jr. is the defending champion of the First Ateneo Volleyball League held last year at the Ateneo de Manila gymnasium. Hungry for more, the spiker boys showed everyone why they were hailed champion in their game 2 held at the gymnasium of the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP). when they crushed the Manila Tytana Colleges (MTC) The whole first set was dominated by the Seahawks. They made it look like MTC didnt stand a chance against them. Second set was a bit rough for the Seahawks because the MTC started to get ahead in the game. They just didnt give up that easily, making it hard for the Featinians to grab the second set. Third set was not that easy for the Seahawks but they were determined to grab the win. They fought fiercely. They showed the ISAA League everything theyve got by winning the game with a 3-0 set score dominating the whole game. After that victory, the Mens Volleyball team are hungrier to grab the trophy for the pride of the school.

Heads high, stand tall, fly high SEAHAWKS all the way! After sweeping the Ateneo Volleyball Cup and grabbing the Gold, the FEATI Seahawks Male Spikers again brought pride, honor and glory to our school for the 2nd time around by bringing home the Volleyball Championship Cup from the 3rd ISAA Championship game. Spikers grabbed the 1st game winning straight sets last October 20, 2011 not letting the La Consolacion Manila see the lime light. Message has been given to their opponent, for the Spikers are really aiming for the win. In game 2, held at Lyceum of the Philippines University, the Spikers were really determined to win it and bring home the bacon for our fellow FEATInians. Their coach Shok Anore trained the Seahawks with dedication and passion giving them all of Coach Shoks talent and experience

in Volleyball, he led the SEAHAWKS for their very 1st ISAA Championship win. The keys for the win of the Seahawks are the aggressive start and a powerful finish. Discipline is also one of the keys to win a championship game and be a championship calibre team. I want to thank all those who supported the FEATI Mens and Womens Volleyball team especially to Maam Melai, Miss Teng and the Brass Band for the help and endless support they have given the team. It certainly gave strength to us to help us beat the opponent, said Coach Shok. After the game Coach Shok reminisced

the past when the Seahawks Spikers were just getting started. He remembered that the team started from scratch. They lost every battle that time, and then improved to finish to 5th place, 3rd place and now the Champs! Winning a championship game isnt that easy but the feeling of being victorious is priceless. All the hardwork and dedication payed off when they rallied to grab the win. It is an honor for the FEATIU Community to have such young and great talent. Now theyre preparing for their next battle with added pressure to defend their title against new contenders in the 4th ISAA Tournament. The hungry Seahawks wants some more for they are aiming to win the upcoming 2nd Ateneo Volleyball Cup in March 2012 and become the back-to-back champions.

game 1 nabbed by the Seahawks

Kaboom! the right word to describe the opening game of the FEATI Seahawks against the Manila Adventist Medical Center and College (MAMCC) last August 2, 2011 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. The Seahawks made an enormous 60-point deficit against the MAMCC. They dominated the back court for all the four quarters, making it sure that they do the right plays in both defense and offense, while maintaining the lead and keeping it cool all throughout the game, and knowing their positions and doing all their jobs to keep the pressure and handle the ball effectively. With a big lead, the Seahawks gave MAMCC a hard time keeping up with the pace of the game. With the guidance of the FEATI Mens Basketball Head Coach Louie Gonzales and leadership of their Captain Jok Pati-an, the Seahawks finished the game with a final score of 98-38. I think everybody did their job well. Everybody was so excited to play kaya sobrang pumped up yung isat isa nung nagstart na yung game and then eventually tuloy tuloy na yung magandang laro hanggang sa huli. said Mr. Pati-an, the teams captainball. After the game, it was obvious in the faces of the Featinians, that they are proud of what they attained, making the whole FEATI family take pride of the win. A great start of a new season for the Seahawks!
