Situation: Research in Motion’s (RIM) BlackBerry is the


world’s leading push email solution with over 16 million
handheld email devices deployed across the world. RIM
needed a strategic partner to develop market awareness
and promote sales in India.

Solution: DIGIQOM deployed its FULCRUM PR suite

We used “Experiential Marketing” techniques to launch the


BlackBerry 8100 Pearl in India in 2006 through a series
of one-on-one media interviews with key officials from RIM,
followed by a BUZZ inducing launch event.

We then extended the launch platform to support new


carriers as well as new offerings from RIM such as the
8800 and its variants.
