Pray that the Lord would refresh our church families this holiday season, give them safe travels, and renewed relationships with one another. For those of us experiencing illnesses at this time, may Jesus heal us and renew our bodies to full health.
May the Lord bring us happiness and peace for 2012. May He give us the wisdom to let go of issues from 2011 and move forward with an open heart. We ask that He give us courage to face changes and new beginnings. We pray for opportunities for us to show the love of Jesus in all we do and say, so that we may be an example of all that is possible through the love of our Lord.

NEWS
Tonga in 2012
Last winter, 13 people from Alliance churches in Auckland spent 10 God-filled days in the Kingdom of Tonga, and we're doing it again in 2012! We'll be working with a ministry for disabled children, a local and vibrant Tongan congregation, and with the powerful Christian radio ministry in the capital city. If you'd like to find out more about what's to come, an information meeting is being planned for you in early February.
At WHAC, we exist to help people move from brokenness to wholeness in Jesus Christ, and it's our firm belief that that continuing journey, much like our regular lives, has a few important building blocks along the way... First is our birth, or entrance into God's family. Jesus called this being born again, and it's the new start that comes as we ask God to forgive us and to make Jesus the Lord of our lives. As babies in any family, we need love, support, nurture and care. At WHAC, that primarily happens through caring networks that happen over morning tea and in our home groups so that here "nobody stands alone". The next step in any life is to start growing in our knowledge of the world and of God. But, "I can't grow for you", and as such, we encourage people to join us Sunday mornings, in one of our growth groups, or in one of our new block courses. As we continue to mature, it's important to realize that "If it's going to be, it's up to me" because God made you unique for a unique purpose. As such, it's important to discover your gifts, and to start using them in His service. Finally, as adults, we seek to pour out our lives for the benefit of those we love. As believers, we seek to pour out our lives as living sacrifices in an act of worship to God, where we put "All that I am and all that I have" at His disposal to be used for His glory, His will, and in His way. It might be interesting for you to place yourself on this growth journey to see what new challenges are next for you, or to see what needs revisiting as we walk together towards wholeness in Christ.
