e young artist will enjoy viewing some of the great works by Leonardo Da Vinci with activities aimed at drawing just like the famous Renaissance Man. Students will take apart something mechanical and draw the parts. ey will learn perspective in a landscape, draw hands, horses and learn the art of sfumato in portraiture. With ink and conte crayons on tinted paper, young artists will learn the secrets to creating works of artDa Vinci style. David Bare is the gardening columnist for the Winston-Salem Journal and also serves as the greenhouse manager for Reynolda Gardens. He is widely known throughout the gardening community for his vast experience and knowledge base in all things garden. Megan E. Bryant has written more than 190 childrens books (including a New York Times bestseller) for several major publishing houses including Penguin, Simon & Schuster, Running Press, Scholastic, Harper Collins, Disney and Chronicle Books. She has edited more than 325 childrens books in all genres for Penguin Young Readers Group and Worthwhile Books. Deane Henson holds degrees in Spanish, English, and Latin from Radford College and Salem College. She has been an instructor in the CfC program for the past four years. Bruce Heye has extensively toured the major winegrowing regions of the world, judged various East Coast wine competitions and is a frequent contributor of wine-related articles in local and regional publications. After earning an MBA from Seton Hall University, he had a career in the nancial world, but always maintained an interest in wine. Cindia Gonzalez Leonard received her masters degree in magazine, newspaper, and online journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She is currently the owner of Work!Girl Media and works as a social media consultant. She is the founder and editor of e Lexingtonian, a blog that reviews restaurants and cultural events in Lexington, N.C. Parker Lovell runs one of the largest riding academies in the United States. e Lovells are third generation horsemen, with scores of world and national champion riders to their credit.
