Career Perspectives
Graduates of the Masters Program in Sport Management are qualified for top-level management positions in all kinds of sport organizations. The program is geared specifically to providing students with the demanding knowledge base to get ahead in sport economy. Students can enter into sport management leadership positions in general sport management as well as in areas such as budget, personnel, strategy, and development. They are also qualified for consulting as well as academic and commercial research.
The increasing commercialization of sport means a growing job market for well-educated sport economists.
My goal is to join a leading consulting firm active in the sport sector. A master's degree in sport management gives me the best background to pursue my career.

Method Students visit lectures, seminars, and exercises. In addition to case studies and planning simulations designed to solve concrete problems in the sport business, students also complete researchrelated and concept-related work individually and in groups.
Students and teachers cooperate closely throughout the entire program.
1st Semester
International Sport Governance, Measurement and Evaluation in Sport, Sport Economics

2nd Semester
Target Group Designed for those with a related undergraduate degree and/or work experience in sport economy and sport management. In addition, it is made for those interested in current sport issues and who have an affinity for business practice and analysis. English skills and basics in mathematics and statistics are required. Sport Sponsoring, Sport Business Administration, Sport Marketing, Research Project Admission Requirements Lectures, courses will be held in English. All students must have sufficient English language proficiency (see homepage for TOEFL and IELTS scores). applicants must have completed a degree (no less than 6 semesters) in a related field of study (e.g. B.A. in Sport Management and Sport Communication at the GSU, business degrees) proof of ability (above-average final grade of either 2.5 or higher in the German system or a B according to ECTS)
3rd Semester
Strategic Sport Management, Operative Sport Management, Sport Finance, Colloquium
Concept The idea is to give students solid skills in sport management that are in high demand due to the growing sport market and the commercialization and professionalization of sport.
Students learn about state, profit, and non-profit sport organizations.
4th Semester
Masters thesis and accompanying program events
The program encompasses all the main approaches to analysis, evaluation, and conception in sport management.
Application applicants must use the standard application and submit all required documents (see homepage) only a limited number of slots are available students may only enter the masters degree program in the fall/winter semester application deadline: varies (see homepage)
Objectives Students acquire comprehensive skills in sport economical analysis, conception, and evaluation based on key methodological, social, and personal qualifications. Graduates can work at high conceptual and analytic level and they know how to argue, moderate, and present the most important aspects of organizing work (e.g., time and stress management, ability to cooperate, ability and readiness to lead).
Credit Points At the end of each program module, students must pass an exam. Upon successful completion of the module, students receive credit points based on the amount of work involved. Students must earn a total of 120 credit points.
Credit points are recognized throughout Europe.
Financing Your Studies Tuition Tuition per semester is 500 Euro. In addition, students must pay a semester fee for social services.
