I relish writing a few lines to recommend Vanamali T P who is keen to pursue higher studies in your distinguished university. I have the opportunity to appraise him from various angles by our three years of acquaintance as a course instructor and project mentor in Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. As a course instructor, I taught him Computer Networks in 4th semester and Storage Networks in 6th semester and supervised his lab practical for the same. His performance was excellent securing A+ grade in both courses. His activeness & performance in classroom discussion or tackling problems & assignments in lab sessions was admirable. He has commendable problem solving skills coupled with a very good analytical and computational abilities that have been demonstrated by his consistent excellence. He is keen in delving deep into conceptual understanding of courses. His fifth semester project titled TalkPal - An Instant Messenger was a voice and text chat application. This project showed his planning & management skills with his meticulous design and implementation process for the project & managing the project among his peer project mates. It was divided into modules so as development of different modules is done in parallel to meet deadlines and be delivered with aforesaid functionalities. He participated well in project discussions, analyzing its complexity and developed it with scalability for future extensions. The voice chat feature was well implemented. I vividly remember that this project was then one of the first of its kind with this feature. Coming up with a solution to implement voice chat required a lot of research and maintaining persistent connection for seamless voice call was the most challenging part of the project for which he came up with the solution in the form of Java Media Framework API. The interactions during the project and course instruction have given me an ample scope to assess him both academically and personally. On the basis of my analysis regarding his technical & thinking acumen, I confidently assure his skills & capabilities to pursue research and perform at par even in new areas. A proof for that is his achievement of the foreign research internship in his final semester of bachelor degree. Fuelled by his inspiring ideas and guided by his strong fundamentals Mr. Vanamali has a penchant for research. He maintains amicable relations, which allows him to lead a team in an efficient way and maintain a good rapport with the faculty members and his peers. I can definitely say he has good communication and presentation skills as I was also the member of the project reviewing panel for his 3 semesters. I am certain with his motivation and dedication all he needs is an opportunity for graduate study and will definitely be an asset.
