Allen Health System, Inc. had over 1,400 employees and net revenues in excess of $130M.) Director of Finance Responsibilities: Managed accurate and timely preparation of financial and statistical reporting, accounts payable, payroll, cash management, tax, grant reporting and management, and work papers for external auditors. Report directly to the CFO... Accomplishments: Served on a national advisory board for our health information system software vendor, GTE Health Systems. Assist in re-design of revenue cycle to coach incoming patients on their financial responsibility, establishing payment alternatives and collecting cash at point of service. Over a ten-year period, was instrumental in obtaining financing for over $400M in capital financing through forecasting and pro forma models. Spearheaded several information technology projects, including time and attendance, materials management bar coding system, dietary, point-of-sale (POS). Served on a steering committee for the hospital in selecting a new information system. Led cross-functional team in the review of purchased services, both redesigning the application of some services and renegotiating additional contracts. Results were a savings of $1M annually. .
