Note: Each item above combines the character sequence of
a linear Dynamic Monogram with the character bearing the
appropriate extra trim marks so that when output as a black-
and-white image, the item will display the trim marks necessary
to position the Monogram on the mechanical artwork and
define the correct trim.
Once the black-and-white image is correctly positioned on the
mechanical artwork, the extra trim marks should be removed.
The extra trim marks cannot be used with the bar extensions
because the extra trim marks would appear on top of the
extensions, interfering with the linear pattern.
To use a linear Dynamic Monogram with bar extensions in mechanical
artwork, type the character sequences required for electronic artwork
shown on pages 30 and 31, output the characters as a black-and-white
image, and use the horizontal lines and built-in trim marks to align the
image correctly on the mechanical artwork.
