If the coffee
machine cannot
pump water although
there is water in the tank,
the water circuit may be
empty (also refer to page
12).

Requirements:
Thecoffeemachineisswitchedonand
hasheatedup.
1) Pressthe"Largecup"button.
Thepumpstartstowork.

2) Opentheclosinghandle,pushitback
wardstothestopandholditinthis
positionforapproximately3seconds.
3) CheckIfanywaterleaksfromthecap
suleinlet.
A small amount of
steam may seep
through the capsule bay.

4) Closethehandleimmediatelyifa
leakageisvisible.
5) Pressthe"Largecup"buttonagainto
stopthepump.
Thecoffeemachineisnowready.

programmingmode.

3.5 Emptyingthewatersystem
After every operation, some water
remains in the coffee
machine. Therefore the
water system must be
emptied
if the coffee machine
will not be used for a
long time
as antifreeze measure
for repairs and shipment.

1) Switchoffthecoffeemachine.
2) Pulloutorremovethewatertank.
3) Placeabeakerunderthecoffeeout
let.

4) Pressandholdthe"Smallcup"button.
5) Switchthecoffeemachineonagain.
6) Releasethe"Smallcup"button.

After this procedure, the coffee


machine will not be ready
for approx. 10 min (until
the thermoblock cools to
below 100 C ).

1) Removerearandsidepanels(the
pumpbecomesvisible,see"General
disassembly"onpage16).
2) Pushtheconnectoradapterintothe
capsulebay.

3) Carefullyclosethehandle,untilthe
adaptersitsfirmlyinthecapsulecage.
4) Pulloutthemount.Theadapterlocks
withthecapsulecage.
