Opportunities to develop Literacy: extended writing task is available for the students. They are developing their information extraction skills and their skills of comprehension AFL: there will be questioning after the starter and the main session of learning. Success Criteria are leveled and this will be repeated through the lesson. DRO will be assessing as the lesson developed Time Starte r Lesson Activities: Starter; Tasks; Modeling; Plenary Will be on the board (DF1) as they arrive and collect their books, students are to ponder what are the most important inventions of all time. This will be followed by an opportunity for discussion and reflection on the answers given (AFL) Go through the LO and the differentiated success criteria (DF1 and DF6) Differentiation 1: All resources are produced using a dyslexia friendly font 2: TA is in this lesson and will be working with an assigned student

Set out the main task and the extension (all sheets are in books) (DF1, and DF4) Students will then have the correct amount of time to complete all the different stations. Pay particular attention to the rules. DRO and TA will each work with one particular group (DF2 and DF3) As students travel between the different stations, they will have time to complete the tables but also to begin thinking about the extension task which will be attempted in the second part of the double lesson (DF4) Students will again look at the differentiated success criteria (DF6) (AFL) and assess themselves against it with the
