Symposium on Communications will be held at Queens University in historic Kingston, Ontario, Canada, May 28-29, 2012, with a welcoming reception on the evening of May 27, 2012. The 2012 Canadian Award in Telecommunications Research will be presented during the Symposium. Original papers are encouraged in all areas related to communications systems and networks. Submissions will be through EDAS System. Published papers will be searchable online through IEEE Explore. 2012 Canadian Award in Telecommunications Research


CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Nominations are now being solicited for the 2012 Canadian Award in Telecommunications Research. The Canadian Award in Telecommunications Research is a career award recognizing distinguished contributions made by an individual in Canada to research in the field of telecommunications. The award is normally made every two years at the Biennial Symposium on Communications held at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. Our past award winners are: R. de Buda S. Haykin L.L. Campbell J.F. Hayes I.F. Blake J. Mark 1990 1992 1994 1996 1999 2000 P.S. Pasupathy T. Le-Ngoc N.D. Georganas D.D. Falconer N.C. Beaulieu 2003 2004 2006 2008 2010

The 2012 award will be made at the 26th Biennial Symposium on Communications to be held at Queens University, May 28-29, 2012. The winner of the award will be selected by a committee chaired by the Awards Committee Chair of the 26th Biennial Symposium on Communications, the previous Chair of the Canadian Information Theory Workshop, a former winner of the award and an individual external to Queens University. Please submit nominations together with supporting documentation (a nominating letter, a curriculum vitae and two letters of support) in writing to:
