ANNEXURE-1 B.Tech. Projects Guided S.N. Project Year Abstract 1. Arithmetic Calculations 2006 Neural networks are very well established as through Neural classification tools for patterns but they are not Network good for arithmetic operations. Aim of this project is to develop depth limited feed forward networks for performing the arithmetic operations. 2. Study & evolution of 2007 Genetic algorithms are developed as very good Genetic Algorithm for heuristics for solving many combinatorially solving Traveling explosive or NP-complete problems like Salesman problem Traveling Salesman problem. We tried to implement a genetic algorithm for TSP. 3. Job-shop flow 2008 We wish to have a schedule for assignment of scheduling using jobs to machines for processing so as to Genetic Algorithm maximize the throughput. 4. Path planning of a 2008 A robot is moving in some workplace which has mobile robot using some obstacles. We wish robot to follow a Genetic Algorithm collision-free optimal path from source location to destination. 5. Development of web 2009 This kit provides training material on the subject based educational kit Data Structures through web. A good quality for Data Structures self explanatory presentations, reading material, solved questions, question bank has been developed. Data Structures is one of the basic courses of computer science and information technology streams of engineering education. It is also a useful course for other streams. This kit will benefit all faculty and students who wish to learn this subject. 6. Deadlock Detection, 2009 In this project we aimed to prepare a optimized Prevention, and schedule for jobs under an automated tool Avoidance for sharing environment. Automated Tool Sharing Systems using Genetic Algorithm 7. Set Cover Problem 2010 We are being given a collection of sets containing the elements from some universal set. Our task is to find minimal collection among the given sets so as to cover the universal set. We have applied greedy and genetic algorithm and compared the quality of results obtained.

ANNEXURE-2 M.Tech. Thesis Guided S.N. Thesis Title / Student 1. Online Handwriting Recognition System for Mixed style characters (Rakesh Ahuja) 2. Study of Routing Protocols for MANET (Anurag Malik) 3. Scheduling of tasks on a Multiprocessor System using Genetic Algorithm (Sachi Gupta) Year Abstract 2006 Developed an online character recognition system based on elastic matching and reviewed the discrimination strength of various features. 2006 Made an survey of existing routing protocols for MANET environment and their suitability 2009 Scheduling tasks on multiprocessor system is an NP-hard problem. We have successfully developed a genetic algorithm based scheduling system. For comparing our results we also implemented insertion based HEFT algorithm proposed by Haluk Topcuoglu (IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems Vol. 13 No. 3 in March 2002).
