Over 23 years of Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sa les experience in plastic injection molded products. Possesses the ability to c ombine an extensive background in quality/customer assure with understanding of manufacturing needs in the early design stages of new product development, thus avoiding costly issues in quality, timing, and tooling changes. Works as part of a team structured organization, analyzing the entire teams inpu t and recommendations to launch programs, with emphasis on quality, production, and tooling feasibility by design. Think outside the box targeting improved meth ods, and challenge team members to approach new programs with a "what if we...?" , not a "why didn't we...?" mind-set. Experience: Irvin Automotive, Pontiac Michigan, 2003 to Feb. 2010 Product Engineer (DRE) - Leather wrapped injection molded products Responsibilities include: * Lead contact at customer engineering and design studio groups. Worked with int ernal designers, quality, manufacturing, purchasing, supply base, and tooling so urces through prototype builds, AAR, / PPAP process and production launch of new programs. * Design and launched the first foam to plastic substrate over molded process at Irvin Automotive. This greatly reduces overall tolerances, assembly time, and e liminate quality issues inherent to past model designs. * This new process also improved craftsmanship and allowed Irvin to excel with c ustomers design studio's objectives which were not obtainable beforehand and is now the preferred design for all center console lids and armrest. * Prototype sign off, pre production build trouble shooting, production release drawings, gage design sign off, production released Bill of Materials, assembly sequence, work cell layout, and packaging. US Farathane, Sterling Heights, MI, 1996 to April 2003 Engineering Program Manager, - Injection molded products Responsibilities: * Lead contact with customer, Engineering/Purchasing and all internal department s to assure programs were successfully launched on time. * Program timing, budget, placing and following all program injection molds, 1st shot approvals, release of assembly drawings and production bill of materials. * Worked with Johnson Controls, Lear, and US Farathane to develop the USF Headre st Guide design to reduce complete seat issues such as "BSR" (buzz, squeak, and rattle) and actuation efforts. This new design removed a component and assembly

time and introduced an ability to tune/adjust to each customers' mating parts. T his was not available in past designs, and "BSR" was a continuous issue. This de sign became the core Headrest Guide design and was implemented on all new progra ms.

Issued mon thly reports to management, introduced "Lessons Learned Reports" to Engineering as a tool for new designs. * Lead contact on B.O.C. Supplier Growth Management Program. Performed warrant

y data analysis resulting in reductions of vehicle warranty claims for all instr ument panel carriers used on the Buick "H" and "C" and the Pontiac "H" body. * Coordinated and implemented methods of corrective actions with customer assemb ly plants, Engineering and all in-house departments.
