Sub: Up':Co.ming Railway Budget in Feb 2012- Request to lead delegation to Urge Hon'ble Railway reg:sanction/higher allocation of funds/ /Introduction of new Rail services in Karnataka state ***** We are aware that in these days lot of ground preparations are being made to script Up-Coming Railway budget 2012-13 in the Ministry of Railways. I appreciate the supportive mechanism created by the Govt. of Karnataka to bring all Railway Projects of Karnataka on fast track by appointing Spl.Officer to monitor progress of Land acquisitions process in respect of Railway projects. It is well known that the State of Karnataka is only state across India giving Lands required for the Rly Project at th~ cost of State to complet6he Railway Projects on time bound programme. As this'is the right Time lie by jan 2012] tO'lead the delegation consists of MP's Karnataka and another by House committee to meet Hon'ble Union Railway Minister in New-Delhi to urge for for taking positive decisions on New Projects/higher allocation to on Going works! introduction of New Train service/Capacity building at selected Rly stations! Building new Terminals with pit Lines/ Stabling Lines / building World class/.MFC stations. In this connection I write state that Delegation leading by you, is certainly add value to the purpose and Railway budget 2012-13 and augur well for Karnataka. Hence I urge you to lead the delegation to have basket full of Railway projects fo~ Karnataka in the up-coming Railway budget 2012-13. I understand that you are leader & driving force for capacity building exercise in Karnataka. The Railway Ministry GOI planned number of Dedicated freight Railway Corridor as Port connectivity from Dry ports ie from hinterlands. At present two such corridors are being implemented with the Japanese Financial institutions/Trading bodies like JETRO, one between New-Delhi-Kanpur- Howrah and other being New-Delhi-Jaipur-Ahamadabad-Navi Mumbai. These areas are emerging as Large Industrial hubs with economy flourishing due to building' dedicated Rly corridor. , Hence GOK to urge Ministry of Railways to implement South-south Rly corridor which will connect Bangalore with Chennai/Mysore/Hubli/Belgaum interlinking NMPT. This capacity building exercise will boost GOK's- Suvarna Corridor yojana initiatives. 6-0-0 Hi~he-r Allocation of Funds for on going Railway Proiects includin~ Doubling/ElectrificationRailway Ministry to be urged

At present Bangalcirecity IMysore I HubliJn /Tumkurl Shimoga I Bangarpetl Davanagere I Beltary jnl have been identified fro conversion of Rly station in to Multifunctional Complex [MFC]. Only in case of Bangalore city, Hubli,Mysore agency has been fixed and in other cases still under process. Hence it is to be, urged to Rly Ministry to give speed to these projects by higher allocation

There are about 26nos Railway crossings across Tumkur Distict. Hence it is. urged proposed for taking up of building ROB/RUB's in lieu of manned/un-manned crossings at least where TUV- index is more. Now Railways have developed ri~w technology ie. Rolling in & pushing method RUB's where-ever traffic volume is less. Hence request railways to examine the feasibility fo construction ROB/RUB's.

9-0-0 Providing Train facility from nearby cities/Towns to Bangalore city duly integrating Metro train
GOk visualized building dedicated Commuter Train facility to provide connectivity to Central business District of Bangalore from nearby cities and Towns of Bangalore. Rites company has been asked to prepare DPR in this regard by the Dept of urban Road transport dept. GOK. It is to be urged to Rites a unit of Rly Ministry to complete the study by January 2012 end to faCilitate for inclusion in the up-coming Rly Budget 2012-13
