Freedom Farm serves men recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. The ministry provides a safe house for men awaiting admission to a Christian rehabilitation facility and transitional living facilities for men who have completed the course of rehabilitation, but have no safe, supportive environment they may return to upon discharge from rehabilitation. As a counselor, supported men as they adapted to new and better life and assisted men in securing employment. Also served as Coordinator for the Financial Peace University program, to teach men money management skills. 1996-2008, Compass Group, Charlotte, NC Director, Beverage Procurement, FoodBuy LLC (2001 to 2008) Managed purchasing contracts with all cold beverage suppliers to Compass Group and other customers of Foodbuy, a General Purchasing Organization (GPO) focused on food and beverage purchasing. Key suppliers include Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Cadbury Schweppes, as well as manufacturers of specialty drinks and juices. Products purchased include single serve and fountain and frozen dispensed beverages. Purchased volume exceeds $500 million and volume allowances earned meeting contractual requirements grew from $46 million in 2001 to more than $100 million in seven years. Director, Cold Beverage Category Growth (1997-2001). Directed company efforts to meet national contract growth targets with Coca-Cola, Pepsi and other major soft drink suppliers. Managed relationships with national beverage manufacturers and regional and local bottling organizations. Unit sales of packaged cold beverages grew 12% annually from 24 million to 38 million cases in four years while volume allowances from beverage suppliers more than doubled to over $46 million per year. Growth of cold beverage category revenues outpaced non-beverage revenues 5:1 while negotiated beverage pricing held cost of sales increases to less than half the rate of increase in non-beverage products.

Additional projects managed at Compass Group include: Designed and implemented a Customer Relationship Management program for Canteen Corp., the vending services division of Compass Group. Staffers located throughout the nation contact customers to evaluate service levels, identify defects and direct focused, responsive corrective action. All customer contact data was centrally stored, managed and analyzed for service performance measurement and equipment defect trends. This customer relationship management response program was credited with improving the contract retention rate from under 93% to over 96%, a significant improvement in a service provider with $800 million in annual revenues; the equivalent of $20-25 million in new business each year. Following the 1996 Service America acquisition, negotiated the sale of acquired vending branches whose territory overlapped existing Canteen vending franchise owner's territories to the franchise owner. 1992-1996, Arcadian Photo Services, Inc., Myrtle Beach, SC Owner, golf photo concession business. Contracted with golf course owners and operators for concessions rights to photograph golfers and sell souvenir photos.
