Responsible for three multicraft maintenance reports. Planed, led, organiz ed and controlled multi-shift maintenance functions for the building, equipment , tow motors, the site, spare parts, tooling, material for constructing fixtures , etc. Performed maintenance on and inspected weekly, twelve overhead cranes. Ma naged utilities and related equipment for efficient operation and costs. Managed safety, environmental monitoring, EPA permitting, and reporting on air emission s, water quality, and fire protection systems. Provided support for process impr ovements. Responsible for plant/ process engineering, maintenance, and capital equipmen t upgrades for the Carbon Brake Facility. Member of Carbon Facility Expansion Team which directed the engineering and construction of a 17MM furnace and CNC machine area addition. Performed CAD layouts for the purpose of improvi ng product flow, relocating existing equipment, and installing new equipment. * Developed and implemented a layout for a carbon mold charging department which

required relocation for existing equipment, and purchase/ installation of 1MM o f new equipment. New equipment included 250 Ton Mold Presses, conveyors, manipul ators, and carbon disc engravers. Increased carbon brake disc production by 500% . * Developed and fabricated a Carbon Disc Shear Machine, and a Carbon Lug Test Ma chine including PC and I/O hardware, and custom software for reporting and contr ol of the machine. * Developed and fabricated a one of a kind high pressure portable vacuum w/ dust collection to remove carbon black insulation form induction furnaces saving 900 man hours per year. * Managed a 250K controls upgrade for an induction furnace including the additio n of a PLC to control temperature, vacuum, and process gas flow. * Purchased and installed a used 11' diameter car bottom electric furnace with a n integral natural gas afterburner. Mechanical Engineer- Chemstress Consultant CO, Akron, OH 1995-1996 Responsible for the on site design and installation of fume collection equipment on three extrusion lines at Advanced Elastomer Systems, a manufacturer of extru ded plastic pellets. Responsible for supervising the rebuild of a Banbury Mixer and also the design and installation of fume and dust collection system on the m ixer. Plant Engineering Manager- Schneller, Inc., Kent, OH 1994-1995 Responsibilities included plant maintenance, supervision of four craftsmen, OSHA , Safety, and EPA compliance including all reports, permits for Title V, and man aged capital projects. * e s * * * Filed several EPA reports including Title V Fee Emission Report, and SARA Titl III report. Organized a ring binder for all EPA filings including an appendice and required instructions for filing the reports. Updated Fire Safety Plan and MSDS file for chemicals used at the plant. Saved the company $8,000 per year on a water treatment contract. Purchased/ installed a solvent reclaim system with a two year payback.

Project Manager- U.C. Industries, Tallmadge OH 1990-1993 Supervised two engineers and two draftsmen toward implementation of capital proj ect at two manufacturing sites. Project responsibility included concept developm ent, budget, and install. * Managed 1MM blowing agent conversion at two plants from CFC's to HCFC's. * Specified and installed a 6,000 cu.
