The facil ity was suffering from customer complaints, safety related injuries, too many ho urs of machine down time, and in need of a culture change. The management team w as newly formed and we were able to move Harvard from one of the worst plants to become the best performing plant during my tenure (out of 68 plants). After suc cess at the Harvard location, I was assigned to help other plants start/revise their preventive maintenance programs. I relocated to the Sherman, Texas facili ty to help recover another failing plant. * Worked with the Operations Manager to minimize down time while maximizing prod uction requirements. * Strong analytical and observational abilities brought focus to areas needed to improve productivity and reduce cost. * Excellent mechanical skills are demonstrated in the ability to design, fabrica te and upgrade machines to meet manufacturing objectives. * The 24 hour daily operation and productivity of the equipment in the plant * Project management and design including equipment installation required to upg rade current equipment for optimal performance and efficiency. * Created and organized the Parts Department. * Managed multiple capital projects, the installation of equipment and upgraded current equipment for improved efficiency. * Expertise includes: hydraulics, electrical, PLC , mechanical, welding and type one refrigeration. * Created new types of equipment to maximize productivity.
