EXPERIENCE Aramark Healthcare - Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center August 2009 - November 2010 Environmental Services PM Operations Manager * Managed staff of 138 and 3 supervisors * Integral part of start-up team. Responsible for initial customer contacts, pla nning for smooth transition from previous company to Aramark, walking and verify ing schedules, assembly and staging of equipment, presenting initial orientation for new employees, implementation of policies, procedures and work schedules. * Responsible for second and third shift EVS Operations in eleven buildings (A, B, C, D, E, R, S, Kasota, MOB, Herald and South Garage) until June 2010, when se cond shift Operations in A building was assigned to Discharge Operations Manager . * Manager for three supervisors, eight team leads and one hundred thirty hourly employees. * Areas of responsibility include ED, OR, RCNIC, PICU, CCU, multiple clinics, re search labs, office buildings, visitors and parking areas. * Interfaced with multiple vendors in order to maintain or improve service level s. Shriners Hospitals for Children - Cincinnati, Ohio July 1985 - July 2009 Environmental Services and Grounds Director * Managed staff of 22. * Area maintained at hospital - 217,000 sq. ft. plus 330 car garage, at Off Prem ise Housing - 4,000 sq. ft. * Responsible for managing Environmental Services, Grounds and Off Premise Housi ng. * Responsible for a combined annual budget of $756,000. * Provide leadership and direction in regards to routine/project cleaning of fac ility. * Worked closely with Infection Control and Microbiology to resolve issues and i mplement process/product improvement or changes. * Worked with many departments as a resource for infection control questions or concerns and to mentor new managers when requested. * Worked with customers to resolve issues, to improve satisfaction and/or to alt er expectations. * Provided critical guidance, direction and labor to prepare new building for op ening date of March, 1992. * Established cleaning standards and schedules. * Measured cleaning effectiveness through observation, the use of formal inspect ions and by the results of environmental cultures taken after cleaning was compl eted. * Perform equipment troubleshooting in order to expedite repairs. Occasionally p erformed minor repairs. * Monitor condition of furniture and repair or replace as appropriate. * Monitor condition of grounds including garage. * Schedule and coordinate two times per year cleaning of garage deck. * Coordinate with landscaping service for spring and summer floral plantings. * Monitor off premise housing facility and schedule daily cleaning. * Recognized as Certified Executive Housekeeper by International Executive House keepers Association. * Primary author of "Evaluation And Use Of Carpeting In A Pediatric Burn Treatme nt Hospital" published in Executive Housekeeping Today-February 2000.

* Co-author of "Investigation of single-use versus reusable infectious waste con tainers as potential sources of microbial contamination" published in American J ournal of Infection Control-2003. * Worked closely with nursing, microbiology and the Infection Control Committee to develop, implement and routinely seek to improve the current regulated medica l waste program. * Led the process to develop and implement a Pharmaceutical Waste Collection pro gram as required by EPA. * Started recycling program upon opening new building and worked with others to expand the program. * Member of Infection Control and Safety Committees. * Selected to facilitate or co-facilitate groups challenged with specific tasks. First Management Service October 1979 - June 1985 Account Manager at Osteopathic Hospital, Davenport, Iowa * Managed 17 individuals in Environmental Services and Linen Distribution. * Provide leadership and direction in regards to routine/project cleaning and li nen distribution of facility. * Established cleaning schedules and monitored effectiveness through observation and the use of formal documented inspections. * Ordered supplies and equipment needed to maintain cleanliness standards as est ablished by hospital. US Army September 1975 - September 1979 Tank Commander Rank achieved: Sergeant- E5 * As tank commander I was responsible to the Platoon Leader and the Platoon Serg eant and responsible for the crew members as well as the proper operation and ma intenance of the vehicle.
