This has benefited my employers, students, partners, and clients in many diverse and interesting ways. My background involves many engin eering and science related areas, so I feel at ease with most professionals and can relate to their interests and concerns to help resolve issues and find inter esting solutions to difficult problems. So I want a position which encourages innovation while complementing the continu ity so necessary in engineering endeavors. It is important for any business to m aintain a direction while discerning new trends and possible directions. This te nsion between historical, present, and future directions keeps a business on its toes and makes for interesting careers and excellent opportunities. So, how can I help you? Probably in ways you have not imagined, let's talk. PERSONAL Married to Mary Lee Foley; we have two sons, John and Brendan. Bachelor's of Electrical Engineering Technology with a concentration in computer programming and hardware interfacing. Continuing education in first line management, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, DC electr ic motor design. Extensive study of domestic and international safety codes for electrical equipm ent and flammable materials used in Hazardous Locations. SKILLS I am proficient at new product design, installation, customer training, and fiel d repair. I am good at computer aided drafting, 2d and 3d design Electrical engineering wi th digital and analog circuit design and cad PC board design Mechanical engineer ing with pneumatics and hydraulics training. I have a lot of experience in designing equipment for Hazardous Locations. LANGUAGES English, German, Latin EXPERIENCE SUMMARY I was senior engineer for Wilkinson Industries/ Wilkinson Global (manufacturer o f the Vortech Cleaning System, a patented cleaning machine for paint atomizer sy stems, paint recirculation systems, sealer delivery systems, and clean in place piping equipment in Hazardous Locations. 1999 to 2009 As lead electrical engineer, I developed the hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics , controls, technical manuals, and accessories for a patented cleaning technolog y. These devices are used for cleaning and changing color in industrial and aut

omotive paint systems. These devices are used in Hazardous Locations. Plummer Design & Technologies, Inc. 1990 to 1999 As project engineer in electrostatic design, I worked on electrical circuits and system design for Hazardous and general purpose locations. My responsibilities included Cad work, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical design. My design res ponsibilities including closed loop feedback systems for electrostatic power sup plies and rotary atomizer speed controls. I was also responsible for assembly of prototypes, technical manuals, field test units, production devices, and suppor t for field tests. DeVilbiss Co. 1985 to 1990 As an Instructor I taught physics, math through calculus, intro circuits, digita l logic, analog design, microprocessor programing and interfacing, and prototype electrical design. I built the microprocessor lab and prepared the course mate rials for the PLC class at the University of Toledo, 1978 to 1985 As test engineer I oversaw the construction of a testing laboratory, life testi ng, tensile testing, and quality testing of automotive parts manufactured by Dur a Corp. As test engineer I was responsible for hydraulic development testing, life testi ng, vibration testing, and DC electric motor testing at Prestolite, As a Dynamometer test engineer I specified engine performance testing, break in and life testing, and reported test results. Ford Motor co. Early in my career I worked at Chevrolet Gear and Axle (now American Axle) in Ha mtramck, Michigan. I was involved in a training program which provided me with a very diverse exposure to the manufacturing of automotive and truck axles, brake systems, engineering design and support, skilled trades, machine repair, engine ering testing, prototype evaluation and testing. HONORS & AWARDS My work at DeVilbiss led to several US patents for electronc control systems use d in Hazardous Locations. My work also led to US and international patents for the Vortech System for clea ning recirculating paint delivery systems. I received the District Award of Merit from the Anthony Wayne District of the Er ie Shores Council of the Boy Scouts of America. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS Early in my Career I worked in engine testing, DC motor testing, hydraulic testi ng, and material strength testing, as well as life testing of mechanical devices and prototypes. Some years later I was an instructor of engineering technology at the University of Toledo where I taught intro circuits, digital logic, microprocessor programm ing, physics, and Mathematics through Calculus. When I worked at the DeVilbiss R&D group I specialized in high voltage electrost atic painting equipment and related control equipment. I was the project enginee r for a 5 man development team for electrical and elecrtronic equipment used in and about hazardous Locations. I was the recipient of several patents for the eq uipment I designed. Most recently I was the electrical engineer for a start up company which develop ed a cleaning technology for clean in place piping systems. This technology call ed a Vortech system was primarily aimed at the automotive painting industry, bot h assembly plants and tier 1 suppliers. There were domestic and international pa tents for this system as well as Best Practice designations from Ford Motor Co a nd General Motors.
