VetClosure.com Veterans Social Network (VSN)

VetClosure Business Services Inc. VBS Inc. What is a Family? "According to the U.S. Census Bureau, a family is a group of two or more people who reside together and who are related by birth, marriage, or adoption (U.S. Census Bureau). Though this definition seems straightforward, where do married couples or parents and children who live in different places fit in this definition of family? What about aunts and uncles who regularly care for their nieces or nephews while the parents work? According to the Census Bureaus definition, these relatively common family arrangements are not officially recognized as families. While the Bureaus definition of families is clear and is easily tracked over time, it is important to recognize that not all of our families fit this definition." We at VetClosure.com consider all Veterans family, although Veterans served in the different branches of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, or National Guard), you are now a part of a family of Veterans. Our family is located from Coast to Coast, from shining sea, to shining sea, on both sides of the American mountains, in every U.S. city, nearly in every U.S. town. VetClosure.com is making our family of Veterans and those that support Veterans stronger, by providing a Social Network that is designed and continually being improved to meet Veteran's and their familys needs. JVAP (Joint Veterans Assistance Programs) will help Veterans get the services that meet "their Needs" and not a one cure fix all type of problem solving technique and programs that have not worked for a vast majority of the Veterans population. VetClosure.com brings 21st century Web 2.0 technology to the larger population of Veterans and uses this technology to increase "Quality of Life." Companies realize the value of Social Media and have increased their profits tenfold by marketing their products and services on the various social media channels. VetClosure.com was created by VonVictor Valentino Rosenchild on Friday, December 23, 2011. VonVictor served eleven (11) years in the United States Navy (USN) as a Cryptologist. ALL Veterans and their families deserve the respect, dignity, and commitment they provided to our country and 'every American.' VetClosure.com, Social Network for Veterans, Active Duty Military Personnel, and their families; As Veterans, we know that Veterans and their families need a support network that can assist them with connecting to the resources to live a quality life. Expediting Problem Solving: Weve all experienced it. A new project or process brings us face-to-face with a problem that needs to be resolved before we can proceed. Now, imagine having the brain power and ingenuity of the entire Social Network behind you to help solve that particular problem. Thats precisely what VetClosure.com (Social Network) is doing. Here are a few examples of how this occurs: 4

Veterans can post updates about challenges, solicit feedback and pull from other Veterans, programs, organizations, agencies, businesses, and other civilian citizens, in addition to active duty military personnel. Since Social Media Networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Linkedin reaches an entire workforce of Veterans, they are exposed to a myriad of diverse ideas that assist in problem resolution. Colleagues with relevant experience can join a discussion, share insights and propose solutions. Basic search functions make it easy to locate Subject-Matter Experts (SME) and information that can remove barriers to progress and minimize downtime. By engaging in these kinds of activities on VetClosure.com, all Veterans are able to resolve problems faster and maximize results. Inspiring Innovation: The beauty of VetClosure.com is its intrinsic ability to foster creativity and inspire innovation. We all have a unique perspective and one idea can spur another that leads to the creation of better products and services. And, isnt that the key to competitive advantage? VetClosure.com offers may avenues for Veterans across the United States to contribute. New innovative ideas can be exchanged on the VetClosure.com blogs, personal profile pages and through conversations with other Veterans and their families across the country. Veterans can create brainstorming events and invite other Veterans to participate. Crowd-sourcinghosting an online idea-sharing eventenables various U.S. Federal, U.S. State and Local agencies, Non-for-Profits, Corporations, in addition to Small and Mid-Size businesses to poll Veterans on new ideas, innovations and strategic initiatives. By using VetClosure.com to foster and share ideas, organizations, agencies, and companies are harnessing the collective creativity of the entire U.S. Veteran community, a workforce with vast amounts of experience, knowledge, training and education, and they are helping our country to become a stronger, more competitive nation. VetClosure.com is proving to be a real game-changer. As the U.S. Federal Government, Local and State Agencies, Enterprise size corporations, Small and Mid-Size Business (SMB), and Non-for-Profits embrace social media and encourage Veterans to use it are discovering it holds the key to unprecedented collaboration and the ability to connect Veterans and their families with the resources and opportunities they need to Raise their Quality of Life and continue to be productive and creative members of our society. Far too often, Veterans that have no home to come home to, possibly do to the fact that by serving in the United States Military can cause a lot of stress on family relations and can lead to divorce, coupled with the fact that a percentage of Veterans, have and continue to lose family members while serving 5

overseas, have no support group outside of the veterans administration. The Veterans Administration (VA) has tried to help the millions of Veterans that have and continue to return home, but they are overwhelmed do to the pure numbers of American Veterans they have to help. VetCloure.com is a way to help absorb that impact and help to bear the responsibility of providing assistance and a platform where "Veterans can help Veterans." VetClosure.com reflects Mr. VonVictor Valentino Rosenchilds belief that U.S. Federal Government agencies, State and Local agencies, Non-for-Profits, Non-GovernmentalOrganizations (NGO), Enterprise size corporations, Small and Mid-Size Business (SMB), need to a Web 2.0 modern platform to collaborate, to effectively confront U.S. greatest internal challenges. In 2011, Mr. Rosenchild established VetClosure.com (Veterans Social Network) to turn ideas into action and to help our country move beyond the current economic state, to a more integrated Veteran Service Provider (VSP) community of shared benefits, responsibilities, higher quality services, a better system of checks and balances, better corporate governance, better workflow, improved business process, and values. By building partnerships among Veterans and those organizations and agencies that provide them with the resources, tools, fair and impartial opportunities, assistance, and help they both need and deserve, our society as a whole will begin to make continued improvements in regards to acceptance, understanding, and much more. Bring together professionals from a variety of backgrounds, VetClosure.com creates a unique opportunity to channel the capacities of individuals and organizations to realize change. To fulfill the action-oriented mission of VetClosure.com, all members devise practical solutions to Veteran's issues through the development of specific and measurable Commitments to Action, similar to those established by the CGI program under the Clinton Foundation. however focused on Veteran Issues. ABOUT TO BECOME A VETERAN We provide information to new Veterans as well, and welcome them into our Social Network (a national support group). From our perspective, we honor all our Veterans, regardless of which branch of service, regardless of color, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, language, etc. VetClosure.com offers a rich network of resources, and a national Social Network. We help Veterans and their families stay in contact with the service members whom they served with. HOMELESS VETERANS A few of the obstacles that many Veterans face on a daily basis is the stereotypes that a portion of society has about Veterans especially Homeless (House-less) Veterans. Stereotypes: All homeless Veterans are mentally ill. All homeless Veterans are substance abuse users. All homeless Veterans have a criminal background. 6

Facts:

All homeless Veterans are uneducated.

The FACT is this is NOT true. There are some Veterans that face difficult times after serving 'our' country, however, 'not' all Veterans have these issues. Many Veterans face difficulties back here at home (in the United States of America) because of the fact that many do not know how to take their military experience and translate that into its equivalent in the civilian sector, so that employers can understand. Many employers do not full understand the fact that a Veteran was responsible for protecting National Security / Homeland Security, thus many have been responsible for more than the bottom line. Not all Veterans have a difficult time adjusting to work in the civilian sector. Serving our county is not like the movies, it is entails tremendous responsibilities, dedication, courage, honor, and commitment. Bring these and the ethics, principles, values, morals, and manners instilled by our families into any company / organization / agency will give them a professional with the training, discipline, soft-skills (interpersonal skills), etc., that they are seeking. Veterans face a greater challenge obtaining employment do to the dogma, stereotypes, and rhetoric. Veterans can go homeless, just like anyone else in our society. They could have held a good job before the recession hit, then got laid off, just like anyone else. They could have went on unemployment, and tried to get a job but were unable to obtain employment, and fell on Public Assistance (PA) / Welfare, then unable to earn enough money to pay their rent, utilities, food, transportation, etc., lost their apartment or home, and had little choice but to enter the Homeless Shelter System. Here is where VetClosure.com comes in.... We strive to help Veterans by connecting them with the resources they need and with each other. Just as it is in the Military, many Veterans have come to realize the only people that can help them are other Veterans that have faced the same challenges they have, i.e., being Homeless, getting out of the U.S. Military and not having a support group, not having real guidance, etc. This site is about Veterans HELPING Veterans. It is about helping the Women and Men that gave up so much to protect this country, to secure all American's freedom.
