Application Process

The successful candidate for regular freshman admission has a proven record of achievement in his/her high school courses, scores competitively on the SAT or ACT, and has completed all of the courses required for entrance to a South Carolina public, four-year institution. Transfer applicants who have attempted 13 semester (19.5 quarter) or more hours (excluding courses designated as remedial or developmental) of course work from a regionally accredited institution must present a cumulative grade point ratio of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must also earn a 2.0 GPR for the last term of attendance. www.winthrop.edu/admissions/apply
