Junior Member zte k3571-z unlock and detection problem
Hi DC unlocker, I have had some success with unlocking, but am stuck now. -I have a zte k3571-z modem. -I used DCunlocker to successfully unlock the modem -I installed the generic windows dashboard downloaded from DCunlocker using "write dashboard" -Then I the autorun stopped working and I could not see it as a CD. However, I manually installed the dashboard, and it detected perfectly. -As directed in the forum, to enable Autorun, I typed "AT+ZCDRUN=F" in the DCunlocker detection screen. The result was success (I can see the CD now, except now it will not detect the modem anymore. It can see only the CD, and the modem has disappeared. DCunlocker will also not detect the modem, and the Join Air dashboard will not see it either. I have tried unplugging, starting/stopping Join Air, etc, but it doesn't seem to work. Do you have any advice...? Thanks very much.

Thanks very much. just an update: - the zte dashboard "join air" can now see the modem and recognise the SIM inside. - DC unlocker will still not recognise the modem whatever I seem to do. Can you help me to figure how to fix this so DCunlocker can see the modem? thanks.

Also, check if Diagnostic port in "Ports" section in Device manager is the same as in DC-Unlocker.

If you can not detect modem you should check the fallowing: Check, if the drivers are installed Check, if the connection software for this modem is closed and modem is not connected to internet Check, if you use autodetect function in dc-unlocker software Check, if you use latest dc-unlocker software version.

Junior Member thankyou...and a new question
Yeah you guys rock, I shall recommend you to anyone trying to unlock anything... thanks, your suggestion was correct: Even though I had not loaded the original Vodaphone software, it was still running as a background process. I killed it with task manager and... DC unlocker once again detects my modem! But I have another issue (of course ) perhaps you can help me?
My modem now has the "dashboard windows generic" loaded on (the "join air" zte iso from your site). I have installed and connected successfully to the internet on my XP and Vista machine, so I know it works.

But I have a netbook which has Win 7 Starter on it where everything works excepts the actual connection. What I mean is, I can install the "join air", it recognises the modem, I can set up the right connection (E-plus in Germany) but it tries to connect and fails. The same exact process has worked on XP and Vista, so I assume it must be a Win7 problem? I have tried to "run as administrator" and put it in Win XP SP3 compatibility mode but no luck... Any ideas you have, or where I could find an updated version of "Join Air" that supports win7 would be much appreciated. thanks. ps. I tried to update "join air" via the update button but it tells me "illegal id" and will not update..?

Hi Vincentas, I have checked the settings many times and they are correct. I know they are right, because I used identical settings on my XP and Vista computers. That's why I think it is a Win7 problem...the dashboard in Win7 has a slightly weird flickering effect that is not present on my other computers. Any other ideas?

Check, maybe any software is blocking the connection, maybe you have not enough rights on computer.
