This is an outsourced project from MASS MUTUAL for its clients and also for its beta version applications which are used with in MASS MUTUAL. Its a process of repackaging the legacy application to be compliance with the clients standards, it is done offshore.

The process includes repackaging the legacy application using Wise Package studio 8.0 and wrapped into MASS MUTUAL standard. Responsibilities: Analyzing the Package request Document provided by the client. Repackaging legacy installations into Windows installer format using Wise Package STUDIO 8.0 in win 7 environment. Worked on various stages of the packaging process workflow including Requirements gathering, Packaging, Testing and Quality Assurance. Creating transforms (MST) for vendor MSI'S, embedding transforms, applying patches (MSP) for software updates. Performed custom actions using VB Script, Wise Script, Batch Script as per enterprise requirements, particularly for site-specific applications Define and create guidelines for standard packaging methods and for peer reviews of packaged applications. Develop applications to match the Best Practices and Customizing to the requirements. Develop Xml script using Visual Studio 2005 to execute the application as per client standard. Debugging Applications using Dependency Walker, Beyond Compare, Filemon, and Regmon, CSdiff , PROCmon. Worked with .DLL and .OCX files registration and version compatibility for packaging the applications. Worked on .REG files like creating/merging, debugging the invalid entries and working with existing Registry using VB Scripts etc. Creating the Final Report Documentation for packages (.MSI applications) Testing applications on XP-sp2 Environment and make sure that the application is layered (Packaged) according to the Companys best practices. Verification for the standards using Checklist. System level testing for Proper installation in test environment. Bug Tracking and Reporting.
