Manager Production Inventory Control and Logistics Manage the production, inventory control, and logistics functions responsible fo r developing and sustaining leading edge PIC and logistics process and practices necessary to support the reinvention and ongoing viability of the company as a downsized and focused product line supplier of core drive train, transmission an d value added welded and assembled products. Function as the senior leader in the PIC and logistics team of seven associates focused primarily with customer service, staff development, cost control and red uction, day to day PIC and logistics management and support to overall operation s excellence. Success in downsizing the PIC department during a period of restructuring result ing in $200,000 in cost reduction. Serve as primary liaison and point of contact for Selects domestic and internati onal customers including General Motors, ZF Sachs and Inteva. Developed and implemented cost control measures in areas of inventory control in cluding raw material, fastener and packaging scheduling as well as finished good s. Developed and implemented move from monthly to quarterly inventory review, cycle counting and verification resulting in an ongoing $60,000 annual cost reduction . Developed continued improvements for inventory accuracy, flow and traceability t hat will result in eliminating quarterly inventories and resulting in one annual physical count and a cost savings of an additional $20,000. Led a logistics move from trucks to rail resulting in significant ongoing transp ortation savings for the Company estimated at $40,000 annually.
