ABOUTSABI
The seeds that would become the Scandinavian Art and Business Institute, were sown back in 2006, when a group of professionals, lawyers and professors decided to establish a private higher education institute based on new values. Scandinavian Art and Business Institute were founded to train and educate new generations of scholars and professionals based on the demands of the future world. Founders believed that traditional values of higher education are no longer able to respond to the needs of global village's citizens. Therefore, they redened the academic values by adaptation, of the achievements of previous generation, with vision of future generation. After almost six years of operation, the school has expanded globally and hundreds of graduates and students dene their principles of professional life based on values of Scandinavian Art and Business Institute. Our principles are to consider fair business, To respect other cultures values, to try to understand others' beliefs and to protect the environment. We want to establish a culture that would promote passion and tenacity. Today hundreds of students are studying at SABI in more than 12 programs in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. Our school is a member of European Council for Business Education, and has applied for ECBE accreditation. We also follow all European educational standards according to Bologna Process, European Credit Transfer System, model developed by the European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES. Our institute cooperates with high qualied professors and professionals to provide updated and high qualied education. Scandinavian Art and Business Institute is a Finnish private higher education institute. According to the Finnish ministry of educations decision dated 29.10.2009, based on the freedom of trade and information protected by Finnish constitutional law, SABI is authorized to operate in Finland as a private institute and it is not part of Finnish Higher Education System, therefore SABI degrees are not same as degrees issued by Finnish universities or polytechnics. However, SABI voluntary designed its programs based on Finlands Government Decree on University Degrees - 794/2004. Degree instruction at public institutions of higher education is free of charge, therefore, all degree programs such as MBA, DBA or etc that required tuition fee is not part of Finnish higher education system even offers by Public universities or polytechnics. Therefore, since SABI required tuition fee for its programs and do not receive fund from government, its degrees are not Finnish higher education degree. In France, SABI declared its operation to Academy of Paris and according to receipt number E11-53, SABI is authorized to operate and welcome student for its programs in Paris, therefore SABI ofcially is registered in France and operate under direct supervision of Academie de Paris and report annually to the academy.SABI is a member of European Council for Business Education, and has applied for ECBE accreditation. SABI also is full-member of European Association for Distance Learning (EADL). EADL cousin organization in USA is Distance Education and Training Council (DETC).
