SOCIAL STUDIES WITH MS. TEXTOR 92.ktextor@heritageacademies.com Students are continuing to learn about the citizenship of ancient Greece and what the Greeks valued in their lives. This week students will be focusing on fables and drama. They will be making connections to how fables were created in ancient Greek times and yet still told today. Each rotation will be put into groups and will have the chance to create their own fable. At the end of the week students will put on their original fables for the class as a puppet show using toilet paper rolls... so if you have any please have your scholar bring them to class next week!! Students will continue to learn about the drama of Greece and compare it to drama today. Next week students will continue their weekly current event articles. One article needs to be of their choosing, and the second needs to be a current event happening in Greece. This will occur every Friday.
The Next two weeks mark the beginning of new units in all three rotations. Rotation 3 will continue to work on coordinate planes and formulas. Rotation 2 will complete their work on rational numbers and begin their coordinate plane activities. Rotation 1 has begun a new unit entirely devoted to operational fractions. Please be sure to check the website for the weeks homework assignments.

It is important that all students are putting forth their best effort each and every day in and out of the classroom. When they try their best it is reflected in both classroom assessments and RIT scores.
