4B Personal Reflection
Write a one page personal reflection where you reflect on your actions and identify what you value most. Discuss how your actions reflect these values and what you are committed to. How does this commitment form your moral stance in life?

As a seventeen year old, I have difficulty making important decisions because some of them will now affect my life greatly. However, I do know what I value the most in my life, and these things help me to make the right decisions: love, determination, and of course fun. Every single day I make sure that my actions reflect the

things I value most, and that I make them important. Daily, I find love in the company of either my family or my friends. Having a family supper and even just simply discussing our busy days is enough to feel connected to my mom, dad, and younger brother. I love them all very much and can rarely go a day without them in it. I can also find love in the company of my friends when we hang out, go to the movies, have group gatherings, whatever! We trust each other and love each other, which makes spending time with each other something each of us values and cherishes. Determination can be found tons through my average day through my actions. I head off to work in the morning to teach swimming lessons at the pool, and that takes a lot of determination, especially dragging myself up in the morning. Once Im there though, I have so much fun helping the kids perform back floats, learn to dive, and playing swimming games that help improve their skills! After work I also find time to work out and make sure I shoot some hoops outside to keep my basketball skills fresh. Im determined to do this so that during the next school year I will already be in shape and wont forget what I learned last season. Now, fun is something I have all the time, basically every minute of every day I try and have fun because it makes life so much more enjoyable. I commit to try and have fun in everything I do, because its something I value and I think its good for us as humans to decrease that amount of stress we have in our lives. All these commitments in order to feel love, be

determined, and also have fun at the same time shape my moral stance because with those values in the back of my mind I can make the right decisions that will ultimately allow me to enjoy life as much as possible and accomplish good in the process.
