The hydraulic reservoir is the fluid storehouse for the hydraulic system.

It contains enough fluid to supply the normal operating needs of the hydraulic system and an additional supply to replace fluid lost through minor leaks. Additionally, the reservoir allows the settling of any impurities and separation of air from the fluid before reuse in the system.

Pressure tank contains the fluid at higher location to drive pressure down to the turbine that converts mechanical to electrical energy in a hydroelectric power plant and related processes. Open channel is a path of the fluid from the pressure tank to the weight tank. The open channel may contain other measuring devices such as Orifice Plate Meter and the like.

A manometer could also be referring to a pressure measuring instrument, usually limited to measuring pressures near to atmospheric. The term manometer is often used to refer specifically to liquid column hydrostatic instruments.
A part that is rectangular shape where two or more pipe lines are joined carries fluid from a common source to various points of use.

lever is a rigid object that is used with an appropriate fulcrum or pivot point to either multiply the mechanical force (effort) that can be applied to another object or resistance force (load), it is used to elevate the level of open channel at various angle. The impulse turbine consists basically of a rotor mounted on a shaft that is free to rotate in a set of bearings. Upon leaving the nozzles the high-speed fluid strikes the moving blades, and a force is imparted to the blades as the fluid is deflected by them, i.e. the fluid is deflected without a pressure

drop in the blade passages.

The reaction turbine was built by Hero operated on the reaction principle. The only difference of which with the impulse turbine is that the fluid's deflection in the blade passage is accompanied by a pressure drop and a relative velocity rise.

The governor is used to control the turbine speed since it is needed to run slowly to prevent
damage while some applications (such as the generation of alternating current electricity) require precise speed control.

The weight tank is used to correlate the volumetric flow rate to mass flow rate for the determination of other parameters such as velocity, etc.
A flow meter used to determine the rate of flow and employing a venturi tube as the primary element for creating differential pressure in flowing gases or liquids. Panel board is a circuit which comprises of ammeter, voltmeter, and light bulb signals connected to the rotor of the turbine. The output reading is the performance of the hydroelectric equipment.

Gate valves are primarily used to permit or prevent the flow of liquids, but typical gate valves shouldn't be used for regulating flow, unless they are specifically designed for that purpose. Because of their ability to cut through liquids, gate valves are often used in the pipe just before the turbine. A globe valve is a type of valve used for regulating flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable disk-type element and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body. It is usually placed near the outlet of fluid to the reservoir.
Centrifugal pump A pump consisting of an impeller fixed on a rotating shaft and enclosed in a casing, having an inlet and a discharge connection. The rotating impeller creates pressure in the liquid by the velocity derived from centrifugal force.

Magnetic switch A switching device consisting of three metallic layers (a paramagnetic layer between two ferromagnetic layers), whose action is based on electron spin and is controlled by a small magnetic field. Orifice plate meter is most commonly used for continuous measurement of fluid flow in pipes. They are also used in some small river systems to measure flow rates at locations where the river passes through a culvert or drain. Hook point gauge The measurement of steady state water surface position is frequently needed during hydraulic investigations. This is done by using a small point or hook manually adjusted to touch the water surface, and a reading is taken of the vertical movement using a scale or vernier. Protractor is a device in measuring the angle with respect to a basis line. In the hydroelectric equipment, it is used to measure the elevation of open channel to project the right output. The Bourdon pressure gauge uses the principle that a flattened tube tends to change to a more circular cross-section when pressurized. Suction pipe is a pathway of fluid that uses the atmospheric pressure as driving force in pushing the fluid upward.
