Analysis of International Strategy of Accenture By Akhil Bangia

As business leaders look for the best places to locate operation,raise capital and source talent and ideas demand that they invest wisely throughout the world to be successful with their international strategy the portfolio that reflects understanding five underlying fundamentals. Accenture believes in that the successful investors recognize the wisdom of holding a diversified portfolio.The recent downturn destroyed value across the board but its usually a sensible way to earn stable returns while limiting risk. For similar reasons, Accenture has develope a multi-polar world should develop and executed a diversified international strategy based on Geographies. The task is not as simple as it may sound. In the past, developed economies were the primary sources of consumer demand, abundant capital, and innovative ideas and products. They were blue-chip sites for investment, providing safe and steady returns to companies that executed effectively. Emerging markets meanwhile offered costcompetitive labor and plentiful resources attractive assets, but not sufficient on their own to constitute

an entire geographic portfolio. Above reasons constituted Accenture a global player to develop and international strategy to cater the world population,gaining cheap resources from the developing countries constituting similar talent as developed countries and capitalizing the market. The world today is considerably more complicated. Because economic power has become so widely dispersed, emerging economies compete with developed countries on the same terms across what Accenture has identified as the five key dimensions of a multi-polar world: 1)Talent 2)Capital 3)Resources 4)Consumers and Trade 5)Innovation Even within emerging markets, economic growth has extended beyond the traditional contenders the BRIC economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China to another wave of high-growth countries including South Korea, Mexico and Malaysia. Accenture's research shows that high-performance businesses are already creating broad geographic options for themselves within these five dimensions more successfully than the competition and are expanding in a proactive approach. As per the business model and as a global company Accenture has acquired talent from emergin

economies like India,Brazil,China including in developed economies thus maintaining balance ratio among the economies of different countries.Accenture on above five principal on international strategy model has achieved around more than two lakh employees working in more than 120 countries and with a turnover of around 25 billion dollars annually. Moreover Accenture has developed a powerful network of alliances with a core objective of helping clients generating profits,Accenture alignment with market leaders and emerging players enable them to deliver more complete solution to clients. To help business better understand potential sources of geographical value Accenture built a model based on five dimensions of the multi-polar world. Drawing on 60 variables derived from a wide variety of sources, including an exclusive survey of global business leaders assessed the competitiveness of countries within each of the five dimensions mentioned above. Accenture has adopted a more diversified international strategy thus spreading risk more effectively and got the very best of the global economy. On the basis of five multipolar key points Accenture has developed a global strategy. 1)Talent-Accenture has explored three different aspects of the workforce to determine the need of an organization on the basis of business.

of the talent environment as measured by government expenditure on education enrollment and participation in education and the number of world class universities. Quality of the general work force as measured by literacy,employement flexibility and productivity. Availability of top talent as measured by the number of scientists,engineers and top management talent. Out of the research it is estimated that UK and USA are the two countries who can offer all the three aspects followed by India Hong Kong,SAR. Capital- Accenture has focussed on two indicators which suggest where the long term investment should be made and where to find the best sources of financing in different form. Potential for long term investment eg,GDP,FDI,Quality of life and property rights. Sophistication of capital markets as measured by factors including the size of bond and equity. Resources-Access to fules such as coal,gas and oil is a concern for many businesses,the efficiency with which an economy uses its resources is top of mind,it is important to know how many resources country endowed with for eg,oil,gas and coal.Resources are classified on endowement and efficiency. Consumer and Trade identification is focussed on

three factors Attractiveness of the domestic consumer market as measured by the size and growth rate of the market. Accessibility of the domestic consumer market as measured by the imports to GDP ratio and the World bank quality of infrastructure rating. Ability to provide a launch pad into adjacent markets and global supply chains. Innovation is a combination of investment,education and a strategic policy focus on new technologies in recent years rise of nano technologies and biotech in beijing and automotive technologies in Poland. Excelling in innovation requires a focus not only on input factors but also on measuring output To help to analyse the two indicators based reflect the economies may excel at creating the right environment for innovation

that framework is tailored depending upon the project,client requirements,different sectors and countried thus we can say that strategy keeps on changing with the Geography of the country as multi polar points varies with economy to economy.
