Interview Questions 1) Where did you study ?

Sir,I studied in PSG College of Technology,Coimbatore

2) Tell me about your college days ? Sir,I studied B.E.Information Technology and I enjoyed the subject very much. The professors in the college played a major role in shaping my personality apart from sharpening my intelligence in the subject. They taught me the importance of punctuality,discipline and above all the need to be aware of our social responsibilities. 3) What do you mean by that ? Sir,Corporate Social Responsibility is an important area for many corporate companies. Banks have Community Services Department. It is the responsibility of every individual to do something for this society. If banks make good profits,it is not only because of the hard work of the employees but also because of this society. Therefore,we should do something for this society.

4) What do you think the banks are doing for this society ? Apart from Community Services Banking,banks are opening no frills account as part of their financial inclusion measures. Because of no frills account,even the weakest people(financially) can have bank account. Further,banks are giving loans to the weaker sections and this has enabled many poor people to come out of the clutches of money lenders.

5) What are your hobbies ? Sir,I like singing,reading general books and reading newspapers everyday.

7) Why do you want to come to Banking Industry ?

Sir,Financial Services Sector,which includes mainly the banking industry is the lifeline of any economy. The economic problems in America started from BFSI sector (Banking Financial and Services Industry). Experts such as Paul Krugman opine that the banking sector in many parts of the world are still in trouble. However in our country,public sector banks weathered the storm in an appreciable manner and there was no problem whatsoever with the PSU Banks in India. This shows the effective functioning of the PSU Banks and all the credit should go to the management of the banks and the employees of the banks. Of course,RBI and Ministry of Finance should also be given the due credit for this stellar show.

I would like to be part of this Indian banking sector,which is showing the way for the rest of the world. Further,I have heard from my friends that the job satisfaction in banking industry is very high because its a customer oriented industry and every day we have to meet and serve hundreds of customers. Making them happy with efficient and quick service,gives us tremendous satisfaction. I have also heard that the customers,invariably,reciprocate our excellent service with sweet words and smile. This provides us the ultimate satisfaction.

Further,we can do several things to the society such as opening no frills accounts which benefit the rural poor,giving educational loans to the needy and poor (which is equivalent to giving oxygen to a patient,who may otherwise die), giving loans to small and medium industries thereby contributing to the industrial development of the country.

8) But you wont get Chennai posting. We may post you to Gauhati or Karuveppalankurichi. How will you manage ?

Sir,I am young and I am willing to serve anywhere in India. To start with, my mother will come and stay with me . Working in any place will improve our understanding of the world and I am eager to work anywhere.

Introduction Banking has become one of the most challenging sectors in the country. The Indian banking can be broadly categorized into Nationalized (government owned), Private banks and Specialized banking institutions. The Reserve Bank of India http://www.rbi.org.inacts a centralized monitoring body in the Indian financial sector. The different types of banks in India are State Bank of India and Associates Nationalized Banks, Domestic Private Sector Banks, New Domestic Private Sector Banks, Foreign Banks. Banking provides well-paid, secure and satisfying career prospects. Openings are available in these banking at various levels, from Bank Clerical to Probationary Officers (PO). Often it is perceived as a career option for commerce/economics students, but in reality, a majority of bank officers are from different streams of education. Bright graduates from any subject can get entry in the Public Sector Banks through an All India Examination conducted by them. The exam is a steppingstone for a career in the Banking Industry.
