4 AT command sequence for GPRS Mobile Originating session

The following sequence is an example of AT commands script to perform a GPRS data transfer (MO). AT+CGCLASS AT+CGDCONT AT+CGATT AT+CGEREG AT+CGACT AT+CGEREP // // // // // // to set the class of the GPRS terminal to define the PDP context to perform a GPRS attach (registration on the GPRS network) to check the registration status to activate the context to get any PDP context deactivation notification

// data transfer to be operated AT+CGDATA // to switch to on-line mode (emission/reception) +++ // to switch back to command mode // then, for ex. n minutes in idle mode // then, new data transfer to be operated AT+CGDATA // to switch to on-line mode (emission/reception) +++ // to switch back to command mode // then for ex. after x hours, PDP deactivation notification from the network +CGEV : NW DETACH The AT+CGDATA or the ATD commands can directly be used if a PDP context is already defined. These commands will automatically:

perform the GPRS attach activate the PDP context switch to on-line mode

// equivalent to AT+CGATT // equivalent to AT+CGACT //equivalent to AT+CGDATA

// then, to end the session AT+CGACT // to deactivate the context AT+CGATT // to perform the GPRS detach (deregistration from the network)
