Please refer to the Information & Instructions insert as you complete this Application Form. Complete this form and sign it. Send this form with the Application for Admission Fee to the Registrars Office and Student Services (ROSS) (see address below). Please make your cheque or money order payable to the University of Lethbridge. Arrange for all required documents to be sent to the Registrars Office and Student Services (ROSS). Consult Scholarships and Student Finance (403-329-2585) about scholarship application deadlines early in the year. Official Transcripts Through ApplyAlberta (Alberta Post-Secondary Application System), applicants authorize the University of Lethbridge to request transcripts on their behalf from Alberta Education and/or publicly funded post-secondary institutions in Alberta. Applicants attending private institutions within Alberta or any educational institution out-of-province must arrange to have official transcripts sent directly to the Registrars Office and Student Services (ROSS). Where possible, transcripts for out-of-province secondary schools should be issued from the appropriate provincial Department of Education. Applicants currently studying at privately funded institutions within Alberta or any educational institution out-of-province are strongly advised to arrange, at the time of application, for the submission of interim transcripts if necessary final transcripts are not yet available. Final, official transcripts must be submitted on or before the document deadline.

Students who have been required to withdraw from any post-secondary educational institution within the last year will not be considered for admission. Students who have been required to withdraw may apply for admission after one full year has elapsed. Such students may strengthen their applications by studying elsewhere, such as at a college, and completing courses transferable to the University. Some programs (e.g., Pre-Engineering) are competitive and may require higher averages (refer to the applicable section in the UofL Calendar), and some programs have additional requirements (e.g., Nursing, New Media). If your final Grade 12 admission average falls significantly below 65%, your application will be reviewed. The University reserves the right to withdraw offers of admission. The University reserves the right to rescind admission at any time if the students final admission qualifications fall below the standards required for the program of admission at the University.

What is Early Admission? Early Admission provides early access to programs and course registration. Who can apply for Early Admission? High School applicants who are completing high school requirements in a high school in Canada. International Students studying in Canada are welcome to apply. How do you apply for Early Admission? List all Grade 12 courses you have completed, are currently taking, or plan to complete by June of the current school year in the shaded section to the left. Which grades will be used to calculate your Early Admission average? The Early Admission average is calculated using a combination of final and estimated Grade 12 blended grades. When will you know? An Offer of Admission will be sent, as soon as possible, if you have an Early Admission average of 65% or higher.* If you dont have 65% in December, your application will be considered again in late February, once you send us a statement of your high school record with your Fall grades. If you dont have 65% in February, your application will be considered once again in late July, once we receive your final Department of Education transcript. Until you are offered admission, we will consider new information about your grades. Official Transcripts Through ApplyAlberta (Alberta Post-Secondary Application System), early admission applicants authorize the University of Lethbridge to request transcripts on their behalf from Alberta Education. Out-of-province applicants must arrange to have official transcripts forwarded directly to the Registrars Office and Student Services (ROSS) from the appropriate provincial Department of Education. In all cases, final high school transcript(s) must be received by the August 15 preceding the semester of admission. If final grades are not received by that date, the University reserves the right to rescind admission.

INTEREST ON OVERDUE ACCOUNTS
Any sum that becomes due and payable to the University of Lethbridge shall bear simple interest at the rate of the Bank of Montreal prime lending rate plus 5% per annum from the date that it first became due and payable. Any payments made shall be applied firstly against interest accrued and, thereafter, against the principal balance owing. A simple interest charge of prime plus 5% per annum will be added to the principal balance outstanding at the close of the applicable deadline date and to the outstanding principal amount at the close of the first day of each successive month that the account remains unpaid. Interest charges will be exempted for special circumstances upon written confirmation of a student loan, sponsorship, or scholarship. The Cash Office must be notified of such circumstances prior to the deadline. Post-dated cheques may be presented to the Cash Office, but interest charges will begin to accumulate after the applicable deadline date. Notwithstanding any policy of the University, by submission of this application, the applicant agrees that if in default of any obligation to the University, the information contained in this application and other documentation held by the University from time to time, and which is related to the applicant, may be used by the University or any agent acting on its behalf for all purposes regarded by the University as necessary in the conduct of its affairs.
