The name and address on such a form should be the address you want the receipts sent to. Ensure you include a SAE for your receipt. The receipt is the only way you can check that you have been entered into the correct classes. No receipts will be sent without an SAE. Entries cannot be corrected on show day. If you would like to make a donation to the Society, please enter the amount in the box provided. Your name will appear in the following years list of Subscribers. These donations are very gratefully received. How to display exhibits on Show Day You will need to buy a Catalogue from the gate stewards. Inside the Catalogue you will find your name next to a number in the sections you have entered. Inside the exhibit tents you find a corresponding number. Place your exhibit next to that number. If you have entered in a number of sections remember to leave plenty of time to get your exhibits in place. The tents close promptly at 1000 for judging. How to collect prizes and cups If you have won a prize in Produce, Horticulture, Poultry, Wool & Hay, there will be a prize card with a tear off portion beside your exhibit. Take the prize card to the Secretarys tent anytime between 3.00-5.30pm. Prizes for Sheep, Sheep Dogs, Tractors, Childrens sports and Fancy Dress are given by the Steward at the time of judging. ENTRIES CLOSE 24th AUGUST 2011

128. Handwriting 12 16 years, confined to children attending school who lives in Show Area. Messy Room by Shel Silverstein Whosever room this is should be ashamed! His underwear is hanging on the lamp. His raincoat is there in the overstuffed chair, And the chair is becoming quite mucky and damp. His workbook is wedged in the window, His sweater's been thrown on the floor. His scarf and one ski are beneath the TV, And his pants have been carelessly hung on the door. His books are all jammed in the closet, His vest has been left in the hall. A lizard named Ed is asleep in his bed, And his smelly old sock has been stuck to the wall. Whosever room this is should be ashamed! Donald or Robert or Willie or-Huh? You say it's mine? Oh, dear, I knew it looked familiar! 129. Adult Handwriting (decoration permitted, but handwriting only to be judged). 1st prize given by Mrs S Restall to support a dying art Autumn by Christopher Brennan Autumn: the year breathes dully towards its death, beside its dying sacrificial fire; the dim world's middle-age of vain desire is strangely troubled, waiting for the breath that speaks the winter's welcome malison to fix it in the unremembering sleep: the silent woods brood o'er an anxious deep, and in the faded sorrow of the sun, I see my dreams' dead colours, one by one, forth-conjur'd from their smouldering palaces, fade slowly with the sigh of the passing year. They wander not nor wring their hands nor weep, discrown'd belated dreams! but in the drear and lingering world we sit among the trees and bow our heads as they, with frozen mouth, looking, in ashen reverie, towards the clear sad splendour of the winter of the far south. 130. Swaledale Limerick. (Handwriting not judged, open to both children & adults) 131. Poem by a child attending school. (Handwriting not judged, age to be stated). Entry 50p. 132. The Darlington & Stockton Times Jill Neill memorial class. A short story no more than 500 (five hundred) words titled The Secret(s) of Muker. Entries to be typed on A4 paper. Do not put your name on your story. Entries will be sent to the judge prior to the show.
