Subject : Late Release of Certificates during the 7th PSITE 7- Cyber Council of Cebu IT Student Congress Good day! Its almost a year since we held the 7th PSITE 7 Cyber Council of Cebu IT Student Congress. As part of the registration fee of P50.00, the organizers, specifically the Cyber Council of Cebu will be giving certificates to those who attended the event. Indeed, it is our desire to release the certificates right after the congress. But, unexpected things happened. The money was not kept well. The people assigned in printing the certificates left their jobs. More and more months came and yet our team was not able to give the certificates. It was an honest mistake and we learned a lot from the experience. At this moment, I would like to clarify on the mistake we have made. It is our mistake, not of PSITE 7, not of University of San Jose- Recoletos College of Information and Communications Technology administration and staff. It is the mistake of all the officers of Cyber Council of Cebu 2011-2012. As we reassemble the team, we were bombarded with a tremendous support from the computer students all over the city. Last January 21, 2012 at CIT University Case Room, 30 computer students and officers of computer organizations from various colleges and universities attended our solidarity meeting entitled IT Konek: Solidarity Meeting of Computer Organizations in Cebu. University of San Jose Recoletos, University of Cebu Main and Banilad campuses, Cebu Doctors University, University of San Carlos, St Paul College Foundation Inc., University of the Visayas - Main, Cebu Technological University, Informatics Computer Institute Rain Tree Mall, AMA Computer College and Cebu Institute of Technology- University were the participating schools. We will be forwarding the certificates to your schools on or before Thursday, February 2, 2012. I hope, with the mistake we had way back in 2011, Cyber Council of Cebu will not be limited of its operations. I do believe trust is lost, in one way or another and we totally accept it. I hope this 2012, we will be able to pick up the pieces once again and start to build a stronger Cyber Council of Cebu. Again, our deepest apologies.
