The crime
In violation of Article 32(1) (A), 38(1) of the 1996 (E.C) criminal code of FORE
and Article 3 and/or 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Proclamation No. 652/2001.
Description of the Crime
The defendants, involving with the foreign and local accomplices who are not
caught as the principal criminal, being member of the terrorist group that calls
itself as Ogaden National liberation front with the mission of over throwing the
constitution and the constitutional system through organized, terrorism and
protesting action; have been moving to make terrorist attack having criminal
conspiracy agreement and accepting the objective, goal and effect of the
criminal offence until the time they were caught. Especially, whereas the 1st
defendant, Abdiweli Mohammed Ismael, being recruited since 2000 E.C
/2007/08/ in the unknown month and date through Mustefa Haybe and become
member of ONLF; has joined the protestor in bush fought with government army,
taken political, military, and terrorism trainings, involved in terrorism activities in
the area of Somali Region such as Deghabur, Yoale, and Aware, Participated in
secret and protesting meetings that help to accomplish terrorist actions creating
relationship with the higher leaders of ONLF directly and indirectly, made various
decisions, recruited and organized peoples, armed and committed terrorism
offences against the society and is put under control in the war made with
special police force of Somali Region;
Whereas the 2nd defendant, Kelif Ali Dahir, being recruited since 1999 E.C.
(2006/07) in the unknown month and date though Adin Yollo and become
member of ONLF; has joined the protestor in bush fought with government army,
taken political, military, and terrorism trainings, involved in terrorism activities in
the area of Somali Region such as Deghabur, YOALE, and Aware, Participated in
secret and protesting meetings that help to accomplish terrorist actions creating
relationship with the higher leaders of ONLF directly and indirectly, made various
decisions, recruited and organized peoples, armed and committed terrorism
offences against the society and is put under control in the war made with
special police force of Somali Region;
They therefore; are accused of the criminal offence as principal criminals as they
are acting to shake and overthrown the constitution and constitutional system
through force, and terrorism actions.

code and Article 5 (1) (B) of the Anti-Terrorism proclamation No. 652/2001.
Description of the Crime
Whereas the defendants, being the principal criminals, the 3rd defendant, martin
Carl SCHIBBTM and the 4th defendant, Johan Cerl Persson have waited keeping
in touch with the higher leaders of the terrorist team, which calls itself as
Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) that is already judged as terrorist
directly and indirectly since 2011, left to London and contacted the spokes
person of the terrorist team, Abdi in March 2011 and agreed to support the
terrorism aim together, then illegally entered into Ethiopia from Sweden, Kenya
and Somali after they met with the ONLF fighters, supporting the terrorism
objective of ONLF to act against the government of Ethiopia and the society
abusing their journalism profession as cover, prepared themselves as armed
personnel, studied the oil resource site of the country, the excavation, the
project status, the relationship between the project and the defense force and
finally they are caught in the war took place between the Somali Region, Special
Police Force and the terrorist ONLF while they were working for the achievement
of the terrorist objective of ONLF; therefore they are accused of criminal offence
of providing support for terrorists.

are accused of participating or involving in terrorist organization.

I, whose name and address stated above have appeared at F I PIC I I sector
office No. 30 at 10:00 AM on this 13th day of July 2011 and am informed that I
am accused of criminal offence violating that provide in the criminal code
No __ and the investigation is continued. It is explained to me by the
investigator that I will not be forced to give response on the criminal offence
that I am accused of as per the criminal procedure code No 27, Sub.No2 but
the statement that I give with my own will, will be taken written and presented
as evidence against me before court; and I am giving my words without any
influence of force as follows.
I, Martin Carl Schbbtm, was born in 1973 in Sweden, Kuden zone, Nederluliyo
to my father, Carl Scwbbtm and my mother, Carin Schbbtm. As I grew up to
school age, I entered Nebehor primary school which is located in my birth place
and learnt there from Ist- 6th grade. I attended my education from 7th to 9th
Grade in Bestra secondary school, and from 1Oth to 12th Grade in Vedmeda
Secondary School. Next to that I joined Stockholm University and obtained my
first degree in political science studying from 1999 to 2004. Again I have
obtained first degree from same university in Journalism. During the time I
was studying journalism, I was working for Folkitbild, monthly news paper up
to 2009 as editor-in-chief. Next to that I was working for Swedish Daily and
Swedish Radio news agencies. Moreover, I was working as foreign news
reporter travelling in different countries and sell news for various News
Agencies. I am still working this job. I have never been occurred of criminal
offence.

Regarding the case I am accused with now, police has informed me that I am
accused of terrorism criminal offence as "you, cooperating with the anti people
and terrorist team that calls itself ONLF entered illegally in to the territory of
Ethiopia from Sweden through Kenya and Somali and became under control
being wounded with the Sweden attack taken while you were moving with the
terrorist team" my response to the allegation presented against me my
profession is journalism. There fore I travel to various countries to produce
social economic and political news and sell them to media found in Sweden
and the area. The office that I am permanently working to is continental media
center of Sweden. Some of the news agencies for whom I sell news in Sweden
and the area among others, are Continental News Agency Esviden, HBC, Efften
posten, Amnesty International, Freedom and HO, etc. I use internet broadly in
order to travel in various countries to report news and interview contacting
Militia and protesting groups' leaders in different countries. Based on this, I
could contact an individual, who is resident of London city, England called
Abdi, I don't know whose father's name, he is spokes person of ONLF and he
has explained the social economic and political activities in Ogden area and I
also be able to illegally enter into Ethiopian territory from Sweden through
Kenya and Somali as he, Abdi facilitate me the way.
However, as I departed from Sweden, I have talked about with various news
agencies and they have told me they are interested to the news on the area.
As we arrived in Kenya, we have discussed with some one, whose name that I
don't know, sent to us by Abdi a member of ONLF that he will facilitate the way
for us to enter into Ethiopia, and we have tried to talk with various refuges
leaving to Dedeb Refugees camp. In this Dedeb Refugees camp found in Kenya,
I have seen approximately 3000 (three thousands) refuges who came from
Mogadishu of Somali and Ogaden of Ethiopia.
After spending some days in Kenya, Nairobi my photographer friend, Johan
Mogadishu to Berbera, and from
Berbera to Galkaya in'Juba Airlines, as there was someone who was facilitating
for us calling from abroad during our stay in Kenya, as he has again facilitating
the way for us to enter into Ethiopia territory while we were in Gdkaya, after we
have visited two refugee camps and talked with some refugees in Galkayu area,
on the day I couldn't actually remember we have traveled on one land cruiser
car with two guards through a man who told us he is from Ethiopia and we
have met armed men of ONLF during night time after 6 hours drive. We have
spent four days with ONLF members moving from place to place. Due to
sudden attack made against us at launch time on the day I don't member, a lot
of ONLF members were killed, but we (my friend and I) are surrendered
wounded in the war. Generally, saying that I am guilty to iUegally enter into
Ethiopian territory and surrendered wounded with the sudden war out broken
while I was moving with the terrorist team which calls it self ONLF, I have read
/read to me/ and signed certifying that the above is my true pleading as
defendant.

Cominil Company of Sweden that is enrolled in fuel survey. Then we came to
Ethiopia. We have decided to work something different as journalist. Other
journalists found in Ethiopia have told us that we can't enter into the place if
we follow the legal way. As the journalists of Aljezira are doing so, we have also
agreed to leave to the place in illegal way. We have communicated with the
heads of the Ogaden protesters particularly with the public relation on
telephone and in person. They have told us that the area is under their control,
and they have told us there will be no problem. Based on that, as we have
travelled to the place, the conflict was out broken on July 01/2011. We were in
long grasses being hidden, and thought that we should surrender leaving to the
open place. As we were found with the Ogaden protesters, I atcept that I am
shot with bullet, and I feel like I am happy to stay alive. I consider the bullet
shot as a simple accident. On 05/06/2011 I departed from Sweden and arrived
at Kenya, Nairobi; and as my friend Jhian was already arrived there sometimes
ago, we met there. Then we have conducted interview in Garkato Town, and
then we came to Ethiopia. We have entered into the Ethiopian Border on
27/06/2011. Our general objective while travelling was to meet and talk with
the heads of the Ogaden Protesters to identify the reason why the fuel
surveying companies are attacked. My action to trespass and cross in to the
border of Ethiopia with out visa is crime; I am guilty with this. I have done it
due to misleading information. It is due to the information we have received
from the heads of Ogaden Protestors. Therefore, we and I request the
government of Ethiopia for apology. However, I am not terrorist. I certify with

I, the suspect, whose name and address subscribed herein above; certify that I
have given the following pleading of mine with my own will as per the Criminal
Procedure Code No. 35 appearing at the Arada Assigned Federal First Instance
Court 1st Criminal Bench with regards to the terrorism criminal offence, of
which I am accused; after the court has explained me that I will not be forced
to plead guilty or not, that I should plead with my own free will, and that it will
be presented as evidence against me in the future and understanding same.

I am working as journalist, and have relationship with photographer
organizations. Mainly I am working on history, on conflicts happened in
different countries traveling in Africa, India and Europe. Our particular focus is
on conflicts and human right violations.
I think I came here for the first time in 2008 or 2009. Then I departed from
Mogadishu to Ethiopia and Kenya to see the refugees. I first came due to the
conflict in Mogadishu. He also told that, and then he left back to Sweden.
I retuned back after one year stay. After I returned back from Mogadishu, we
have published a book. The book is about the condition of Mogadishu and the
companies enrolled in fuel discovery/ survey.
The book has caused controversy in Sweden. Especially, as one of the owners
of the companies is Swedish controversy was raised among Swedish nationals
with regards to the involvement of the company. I first came to Ethiopia for 3
(three) reasons. The first reason is to report the draught happened in the area;
the second is to report how the oil industry is going to benefit the society. As
the protestors have attacked the people enrolled in the oil work before two (2)
years, I come to ask them about that. The third reason is to facilitate the way
for the victim people to get food and aid.
Before I came to here, we have contacted and I have discussed with the spokes
person of Ogaden Liberation Front in London. One of the questions I asked him
is how we can get the protesting group members. Then the spokes person has
told me that there is no problem, you can go because the area is under our
control. The name of the spokes person is Abdi. We have talked with him at the
end of March 2011. We, I mean, I have returned back to Sweden and stayed
there for around three weeks then we have communicate with the spokes
person on telephone and e-mail, and the from London told mejus that it would
be better for us to leave to here at the end of April or in May. There is also my

colleague, Martin with me we who came here together form Sweden. He also
said that, it was he, who came first from Sweden. Then, at the end of May,
2011 on the day I am not sure of it, may be on May 28/29, 2011, I arrived at
Nairobi. When I have arrived Nairobi, as I have already take telephone number
from the spokes person, I have called that number and an individual whose
name is again, Abdi has receipted me. After a week of my arrival my friend
arrived. Then we have traveled to a place/person Dedeb, which is the world
biggest refugee camp together and interviewed up to eighteen people. Among
the people we have interviewed, we have found/there are men who are working
in African oil that is engaged on oil works. We have understood that the
protesting members don't need the oil industry, and due to this there is conflict
with government and peoples are migrating, he said. In addition to that I heard
regards complaining as government has prohibited the local community oil
survey. Then I we returned back to Nairobi. I am not terrorist. After we
returned to Nairobi we left to the country of Somali with plane and arrived at
Keerkeye /Garkiyu/City/Town. We have spent one day in the city/town. We
had telephone communication with the person found in Nairobi while we were
in Garketo. As things were not successful, If we stayed in Garkito city/town for
2 (two) weeks. Our plan was to directly meet the Ogaden protesting organs in
person. However, our travel was delayed as a result of the reason that said the
border area is not peaceful/ suitable for us. Finally two cars were prepared for
us, we got the cars in rent, and we paid 2,000 (two thousand) American Dollar.
Then we, I and my friend were picked on road by one of the cars and started
the travel. The people who were our guards/came with us/remained back as
we arrived around Ethiopia-Somali border. They didn't want to come into
Ethiopia. Then we have stopped our travel during night time and continued to
the area where protectors are found crossing into the border of Ethiopia. At
11:00 PM (night time), other cars started following our cars fear/, and just at
12:00 AM (night time) other cars came closest to us. (The driver) stopped the
car. Next to that, the people who were in the two cars have told us that they are
to facilitate for us to meet with the Ogaden protesting group organs. Then

stopping the car, we have traveled on foot for four-five (4-5) days. Then, we are
caught by the Ethiopian security workers before meeting the protesting organ
after 4/5 days travel on foot. Out objective was to ask those who didn't sign the
peace agreement, which was signed between the Ethiopian government and the
protesting team members why they didn't sign. And we had also a plan to ask
them why they want to attack individuals/companies/ that engaged in oil
industry but, before we meet the heads of the protestors or leader of the
terrorist team we were caught by Ethiopian forces. At that tine I was shot at my
right hand with bullet but I don't know who shot me.
I am guilty of entering in to Ethiopia with out visa. Totally our travel was
mistake. They have said, we had to follow the correct and legal way.

Swedish Daily and I would like to know:
1) What kind of work I projects does the WFP have in the area? Do you have access to all of Ogaden or
just some parts?
2) Does the WFP have up-to date statistics about the food situation on the ground? There are different .
figures about how many are affected by the latest draught.
3) Would it be possible to do an interview with a representative from WFP about the humanitarian
situation on the ground in the Ogaden region?

station u are working for there, why visit dadaab,for how many days and
when are u due nrbi and dadaab?answers to this and more incase of need
is necessary to logistically put in place all mandatory pre field
visits as permision,accomodation,transport,security etc.
