1. Type of Programme
Part-time Accredited by Services Seta (credit bearing) A Skills Programme is occupationally based and when successfully completed, will constitute credits towards a qualification registered on the NQF.

Description

This Skills Programme is part of FETC Project Management SAQA ID 50080. The Skills Programme in Project Scheduling is intended for those with prior work experience or an NQF Level 3 qualification in Project Management, Business Administration or equivalent. Learners accessing this qualification will be working on project management teams or using a project management approach in their businesses. These projects may be technical projects, business projects, government projects or community development projects and will cut across a range of economic sectors.

3. Admission Requirements
Learners must have completed the following Skills Programme successfully before enrolling for this Skills Programme: o Introduction to Project Management Knowledge, comprehension and application of English and Mathematical Literacy at NQF Level 3, Grade 11 or equivalent; Knowledge, comprehension and application of a Second Language at NQF Level 2/Grade 10 or equivalent is also required; Computer Literacy at NQF Level 3, Grade 11 or equivalent is required; A basic understanding of the workplace, project processes and operations and competence in National Certificate at Level 3 in Business Administration or Project Support Services or equivalent is preferable.

4. Duration
The programme duration is 68 hours and the tuition is face-to-face. This excludes time to complete assignments, research and self study. Each Damelin campus has a different tuition schedule. Programmes are offered during the week, in the evenings, or on Saturdays.

All books are included in the tuition fee.

9. Career Fields
Learners who complete these unit standards, will be able to pursue a career as a Project team leader or member in: Building and construction Business Marketing

10. Certification
Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will receive a Services Seta results letter outlining the unit standards covered in Project Scheduling which contributes 17 credits towards the FETC: Project Management NQF level 4 SAQA ID 50080.

11. Further Studies

Learners who have completed this Skills Programme can articulate to the Skills Programmes in: Project Documentation and Meetings Project Management Tools, Techniques and Costing Project Management Quality Assurance Supervise a Project Team and the FETC Project Management SAQA ID 50080 by completing the Services Seta Final Summative Assessment Learners should note that the Skills Programmes should be completed in the order as indicated above in order to qualify for the certification of the full programme.
