INTRODUCTION:
The increasing need of transparency in communications and contractual logistics as per regulations has opened up the scope of extreme business growth in the field of express COURIER SEGMENT and 3PL logistics growth in the Indian scenario. Certain factors have contributed to the rapid extension of courier industry to several metropolis, townships and even rural areas. The factors are as follows: The changing economic conditions of our country Technical advancement Improved transportation facilities Growing needs and demands of the people Liberalization Boom of the industrial sector Increase in trade and commerce Revolution in Indian Financial and Banking sector

CERTAIN FACTS OF THE COURIER INDUSTRY:

The Indian courier market is Rs.7000 Cr. courier industry. It is growing at 25% a year-on-year. The total logistics industry contributes 13% to the GDP of our country and the express courier industry contributes 25% of the share of total contribution. Most of the business is in the unorganized sector. Despite the presence of few dominant players in the market, there is enough potential to earn further profit through niche market positioning and catering to specific customer needs, ultimately leading to considerable profits. This opens up a significant avenue to enter into this specific service segment. Our company is named as MORE Than Courier Service Pvt. Ltd. It will be set up in Hyderabad. We will firstly expand our operations in Andhra Pradesh, then cater to the South and then slowly move to the other parts of our country. Our major competitors are the multinational players like: FedEx Airborne Express Fast Freight couriers TNT AFL And the domestic players like: DTDC First flight couriers ltd. Being a start up firm, we are competing in a scenario with both domestic and multinational players. We have both resource and geographical presence constraints, limiting our expected market share to not more than 3-5% in the near future. So, we target a total head count of around 150 on direct company payroll. Our core competencies will be: 1. We will be more customer orientated and will customize our services. 2. Our profit margin will be lesser than our competitors i.e. our service will be cheaper than others. 3. Flexibility in our operations

4. Due to better market survey or market research, we have more customer centric data than our competitors.

Besides moving to other areas we would also undertake an analysis of our market share and the level of customer satisfaction.
