Ministry Greetings
We greet you with great blessings from above in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are excited about the plan of God for you all as the year 2011 ends and a new chapter is opened in the book of your life for 2012. We know that the plan of God is good as He has plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Whatever you were found to be lacking in 2011 we pray that you will receive in fullness in 2012. Our God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Let us approach 2012 with great expectations for what God will do on our behalf. We are praying that God will perfect that which concerns you in 2012. May previously unfulfilled desires come to pass during this year.
Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Philippians 1:6
youth life, full and abundant life. The children also started their winter vacation from school. Here instead of summer vacation, we have winter vacation. The kids ended school in Nov. and will be going back to school on 27 Feb. Both Elishua and Shemaiah did well in school, and Shemaiah especially improved so much. Tehilah is turning 2 in January. She loves the song Jesus Loves Me. Even when we say something to correct her, she says, Jesus Loves Me!
With great joy we present the pictures of our newest son, Jehoadah John Daugherty. He was born on Nov. 21, 2011.
Beautiful Living
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
This is our Papaya tree loaded with fruit. We just threw some seeds and up came the tree. This is about the 4th year of production from this tree. Although many times others have enjoyed our papayas.
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest (John 4:35).
I find it interesting the kind of wording that Jesus used here. I see this as Jesus imparting vision to his disciples. He wants them to see what He sees.

Look on the fields. Jesus wants them to get a vision for the harvest. Jesus wanted them to know also that the harvest began at that time. The harvest is now, and we are the laborers in the harvest. The church is responsible to bring in the precious fruit of the earth, the souls of men. What are you seeing today? If you are not seeing the harvest, then God wants to impart to you a vision for reaching the souls of men. This is the vision that God had given to Abraham.
fields were white unto harvest. Then after His resurrection, He commissioned them in line with this vision.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15,16).
This is the vision and mission of the church. The vision is for the harvest throughout the whole world, and the mission is reaching them with the saving message of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. The promise that God made to Abraham is being fulfilled through Jesus Christ in our day. We are colaborers together with Him. As the gospel goes out into all the world the blessing of God that accompanies the gospel goes out into all the world. The blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached unto them. If the harvest is going to come in then we are going to have to be diligent laborers in the harvest of God. Just as the farmer knows that the fruit doesnt come in by itself, the church must know that the harvest is not going to come in by itself.
Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed (Gen. 12:1-3).
Abraham had a promise from God that in him all the families of the earth would be blessed. We know that this promise was passed onto Abrahams seed.
And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice (Gen. 22:18).
That is, in Abrahams seed all the families of the earth would be blessed. Finally, we have the fulfillment of that promise in the person of Jesus Christ. That the Savior of the world has accomplished a victory that in Him all the families of the earth are qualified for Gods great blessing. Only through Jesus all the peoples of the earth are redeemed and reconciled to God.
But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come (Mark 4:29).
Many times we sit in the church expecting all the unbelievers of the world to just come in and join us. This is not how we bring in the harvest. The harvest requires us to work out in the field. This means that we must be busy about the vision of God for the earth today. That vision is a world vision, with the harvest being the souls of men. God is not willing for any man to perish. God wants all the families of the earth to be blessed by receiving His Son Jesus Christ. When we lose our vision for the harvest we must reevaluate our ministries and our focus. Of course our focus should be Christ and our ministries should be impacting others with the good news of Jesus Christ that we ourselves have received. If I accomplish what I have purposed in this teaching it is to give you a renewed awareness of the vision that God has for the harvest, and to give you a renewed sense of the urgency that the church needs to have in fulfilling this vision and mission in our day. From my own experience, many things can distract us from this vision and mission of the church. Even good things can come in as distractions. We need to be renewed unto the importance that God has placed on this vision and mission for the church and to be found in step and diligent in seeing that we leave nothing out for fulfilling our part in reaping the harvest.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (Eph. 1:3)
In Christ God has blessed all the families of the earth. So what is left for all the families of the earth to be blessed, but to be in Christ. The blessing came through Abraham and his seed, and we know from the writings of Paul in the book to the Galatians that the seed is Christ. Therefore how will the people of the earth be blessed without knowing Jesus. It is in the relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ that we become partakers of the blessing that God had given to faithful Abraham. And that means that the people of the earth need to hear the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ. The need for the hour then is that the church will see the vision of God for reaching throughout all the earth with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, in order to bring in the harvest for which God is waiting. Jesus imparted the vision to the disciples while He was with them. He allowed them to see that the
