The world has proclaimed that Philippines could be the first of the Social Networking Capital among all the countries who uses internet. Filipinos might be expecting this to happen. Many questions could be developed and stated about this matter. This research will identify the advantages and disadvantages of this issue will it be a quandary for people or will it be a big help to develop and enhance the knowledge and awareness to things that are unknown in this generation?

BODY OF THE RESEARCH PAPER

Asia dominates the worlds biggest social networking markets. The Philippines tops the list with 93.9 percent of the nation reportedly signed up to Facebook and followed by Israel with 91 percent; Turkey ranks at top 3 with 90.9 percent followed by Chile with 90.2 percent; Argentina ranks at top 5 with 89.2 percent followed by Malaysia with 88.4 percent; Indonesia ranks at top 7 with 87.5 percent followed by Peru with 87.2 percent and Colombia ranks at top 9 with 86.9 percent followed by Venezuela with 86.2 percent. Social network penetration is incredibly high in the Philippines, reaching 95%. Facebook is the countrys most popular website, more so than Google, and has a penetration rate of 93.9%. The Philippines is also the eighth most popular country for Twitter use on a global scale, with a penetration rate of 16.1%. The popularity of photo sharing has increased by 46% in the country in one year, largely due to Facebook. Social networking is so popular among Filipinos; the country has been nicknamed The Social Networking Capital of the World. The big question about this issue is what would be the impact of social networks to these people. Its impact might be an advantage to Filipino society and so a disadvantage to humanity. One of the advantages of social networking is our connections. People are friends with people who have other friends, and so on. There is potential in such a common situation. By using a social networking site, people can do what people can and get connected with these people to form a web of connections that can give people leverage if people play their cards right. As long as people give as well as people receive, then they will most likely stick with people. These connections are definitely valuable in the long run. The very disadvantage of social networking is time consuming. If this is not peoples kind of thing that it would just be a waste of time for people. The key to social networking is that it is supposed to be fun, whether people are just doing it for kicks or clicking around for business purposes. That should be reasonable enough for anyone, but there are those people who don't see the point. For them, it can be a disadvantage.

Now there is something to really think about. Nothing is without a blemish, but those of this type of networking shouldn't really be that much of a concern regarding people safety. As long as people go along without making big mistakes, then it is all good. Humanity can take advantage of the Internet phenomenon that continues up to this day.

CONCLUSION

Social networking is a recent invention that has the Internet still at the edge of its seat due to its popularity with people. This is mostly because it really is for the people. Bringing every kind of social group together in one place and letting them interact is really a big thing indeed. Everything about it lies on the advantages and disadvantages of social networking, and what it can do for humanity. Therefore this research concludes that whatever title of a thing might get, it doesnt matter because what really matters is its concern and impact to humankind.
