"SMITE THE VOTE" WILL RE-EMPOWER VOTERS WITH THE TRUE MEANING OF DEMOCRACY
ON MARCH 6TH DURING THE VIRGINIA GOP PRIMARY IT WILL HOLD AN TANDEM BALLOT INITIATIVE IN-

WASHINGTON, DC - Elect-Logic - a Virginia based national polling and ballot firm - is announcing the launch of "Smite the Vote" a private ballot to be held in tandem with the Virginia primary on March 6th. Smite the Vote <http://www.smitethevote.org/> is a way to re-empower the true meaning of democracy. It was developed in response to a democratic system that has disenfranchised voters through an immense amount of bureaucracy and red-tape created by those who should have been the stewards of an open democracy. "The government and party officials in Virginia have failed the democratic process," said Cameron Sasnett, CEO and founder of Elect-Logic. With close to 200 "pop-up" locations throughout Virginia on primary day, Smite the Vote will be a way to engage nearly 750,000 voters in Virginia and give them a ballot they're party and government wouldn't. Working with nearly 3,000 volunteers dedicated to the cause of reempowering the true meaning of democracy this action will give voice those who feel tossed aside. "This election is the perfect opportunity to take back democracy from the clutches of a system that has bypassed what is most important: the voters. In the spirit of the principles for which our country was founded that "governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed," it is important to ensure that democracy is preserved far above the structures of government for which it is intended," concluded Sasnett. "Smite the Vote is the answer to that challenge." You can view the Smite the Vote presentation at: http://portal.sliderocket.com/ANAUZ/Smite-The-Vote

Elect-Logic (www.electlogic.com) (@ElectLogic) continues to speak out on behalf of voters across the country. Analyzing data as it becomes available Elect-Logic works to provide solutions for politicians of both parties. With the current state of the primary election it is vital that voices like Sasnett's be heard as we move towards the 2012 Presidential Election. The organization's agenda includes a demand by state and national groups to aid in correcting inequalities in current voting and electoral ballot law.

Cameron Sasnett has a well-established background in state and federal ballot policy and regulations. He currently provides election management support and advises the Virginia State Board of Elections as member of its Technology Work Group. Additionally, he has served as a board member and vice-president of national and state level non-partisan organizations focused on finding, training and electing candidates. Sasnett is a frequent guest on Cable News and was recently featured on Public Radio as well as nationally syndicated political talk radio.
