Home Depot a company that was founded in Atlanta, GA in 1978 was and is the largest home improvement retailer in the United States based on sales. The Home Depot Executive Leadership case study in Strategic Management and Business Policy reflected on the overall business practices of Home Depot from start when Bernard Marcus, Arthur Blank and Kenneth Langone started it till 2006 under the direction of Bob Nardelli. Throughout out this case study it showed the differences in leadership between the founders and current President, the strides Home Depot made in continuing to being the top Home Improvement store, how the competition is rising to the occasion and making great strides to match Home Depot, the disagreement of how stockholders feel about the leadership compensation and behind the scenes of Home Depot such as employee satisfaction, hiring process, training and customer service. In this paper I will discuss three findings of facts and solutions how to solve these facts. Two of the major issues or facts that I will discuss will be how the impact of new leadership or CEO can have on a company in different aspects of a company.
