12 Kinematics of a Particle
Sunday, October 30, 2011 4:23 PM

Kinematics treats only the geometrical aspect of motion. Kinetics is the analysis of the forces causing the motion.
Initially, we will treat all the objects of study being a particle. Particle are objects that has mass but negligible size and shape.

12.1 Rectilinear Kinematics

Sunday, October 30, 2011 4:24 PM

Rectilinear motion occurs when a particle moves along a straight -line path. Kinematics of motion is characterized by specifying the particle's: 1. Position 2. Displacement 3. Velocity 4. Acceleration
