Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, We are delighted to inform you that incorporatization of the Regional Task Force (RTF) as an international nonprofit organization (NPO) will be completed by March 2012 as scheduled. The RTF will facilitate publicprivate partnership (PPP) by exchanging information and views in an open atmosphere for developing specific projects in Asia mainly for solar energy, smart grid, and electric vehicle development. The RTF is an independent, not-for-profit, non-partisan, non-political and technology-neutral organization. The RTF receives strong support from many governments, e.g., India, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, UK, and USA, and international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB). We encourage you to subscribe and become a member of the RTF. As RTF member, you can get a lot of opportunities through exchange of views and information with various stakeholders on solar energy, smart grid and electric vehicle development. The RTF annual membership fee for the Year 2012 (January to December 2012) is US$1,000. The RTF will hold its first annual meeting on 8-9 March 2012 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting is co-sponsored by the Government of Thailand and ADB. Around 200 participants are expected to attend from all over the world. The government and energy sector officials from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United States, and United Kingdom, will also attend the meeting. The tentative agenda is attached for your reference. If you send the completed registration form and paid the registration fee (US$1,000) by 24 February 2012, your firm will have three (3) complimentary seats during the First RTF Annual Meeting (inclusive of participation fee, and meals: 2 lunches, 1 dinner, and 1 cocktails). Transportation and accommodation costs will be borne by each participant. Please note that any additional participants in excess of three (3) will be charged for US$ 200 per person. We also encourage members to sponsor the First RTF Annual Meeting. This would be a good opportunity for promoting your activities to the key stakeholders.
