TheSiltFenceshouldbeinspected regularlyandfrequently,aswellasafter eachrainevent. Ifgapsortearsarefound,theyshouldbe repairedorthefabricshouldbereplaced immediately.

SedimentRemoval

Sedimentshouldberemovedfromthefencewhenitreaches1/3to1/2theheight ofthefence. Sedimentshouldberemovedmorefrequentlyifitiscausinganoticeablestrainon thefabric. Whenthesiltfenceisremoved,accumulatedsedimentshouldalsoberemoved.
