Trade Stands will be admitted if duly entered and upon the following fees being paid; 3.00 per foot minimum 12. Owners of stand and their assistants to be charged usual admission fee if above two. The Company will make the best arrangements in their power for the accommodation and safety of the public, but will not be responsible for loss arising from accident or otherwise. Animals out of place will be liable for any damage they may do. No Stock Judging to attend two years in succession. No person, or exhibitor, to interfere with the Judging, or Judges, in the Ring, but the Stewards to see that all stock is brought out for Show. Any Exhibitor breaking the Rules shall forfeit any prize money he may have won. All Exhibitors must farm or reside in the Companys District before they can compete in the District Classes. If an animal is jointly owned and one or more of the owners does not farm or reside in the District, then the animal cannot be shown in the District classes. All matters upon which a question of doubt shall arise, the same shall be referred to the Committee, whose decision shall be final and binding upon all persons. Anyone elected as an official or to serve on a committee will be required to make a minimum subscription of 1.00. Age rule for children applies on the 31st August. Car Parking is free but you park entirely at your own risk. The owners of the land and Muker Show Ltd accept no liability or responsibility for any damage caused while you park on this property.

RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. That the Company be known as Muker Show Ltd, t/as The Swaledale Agricultural and Horticultural Society, and that all funds collected by the Committee be devoted entirely to the benefit of improving live stock, breeding and farm produce for the market generally, in the Companys District and the Committee when elected will be expected to give their services free, and not to receive any remuneration for work done in the carrying out of the Companys duties. That the Prize Schedule be open to all, unless otherwise stated. District Classes confined to the parishes of Muker, Melbecks, Grinton, Reeth, Arkengarthdale and Marrick. Local: Muker, Melbecks, Grinton, above Low Whita Bridge 3. That all Live Stock must be bona-fide property of the exhibitor 3 months previous to the show, all other entries to have been made or grown by the exhibitor, except where stated. Any exhibit in which a judge has a pecuniary interest will not be allowed to be shown. The competition will take place at Muker on 1st September and all entries must be given to the Secretary or Treasurer on or before 18th August at which time the entries will close, and nothing must be shown which is not in the Entry. Entries for Sheep 1 for each entry. All others 50p each. Admission to Show 5. Children 1. Catalogues 1. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. All Entrance Money to be paid at the time of entering and all letters must contain the Entrance Money and number of each Class they wish to enter. No exhibit will be allowed to leave the tents or pens before 5.00 p.m. except by permission from the Secretary. If any Exhibitor acts in any manner with intention to defraud the Company by securing unfairly any prize offered, or retaining any fees, the Company may debar such person or persons from exhibiting for three years. No dogs to run at large in the field. All Sheep brought into the Show Ground for exhibition must have the Judges number attached on the far side before they can be exhibited, for the benefit of the public. These numbers will be given out at the Secretarys Tent on the morning of the Show. If this is not carried out, no Prize Money will be paid. All Special Prizes to be sent to the Secretary before the Show. Subscribers are requested to pay their subscriptions to any of the Committee in the District, or to the Secretary or Treasurer, on or before the entries close. If any disputes arise respecting the age of any animal, the exact age shall be proved to the satisfaction of the Committee. The decision of the Judges shall be final except where misrepresentation is discovered. Any objection must be made to the Company on the day of the Show. In all cases the decision of the Committee shall be final and not subject to any court of Law. Should it occur at any time from unseen adverse circumstances the Companys Funds fall short of meeting existing liabilities to the successful competitors at the Annual Show after every expense necessarily incurred is disbursed, the claimants must be content to receive the balance pro rata amongst them as full discharge of all claims against the members of the Company. Winners of the Cups will be required to guarantee that they will keep them in good condition and return them to the Company by the Show Day. No animal to be shown in artificial colours (excluding dip) or they may be disqualified by the Judges. Should any dispute arise with any exhibit, the said exhibit will be totally in the hand of the Stewards in the ring or tent.
