He needs 2 more to pass Mark Sanford for 6th and 5 more to move past Spencer Hawes. The Huskies have 874 wins inside Hec Edmundson Pavilion, more than any other program in their current arena. The Huskies have won four straight over UCLA for the rst time since they started the series 5-0, a streak that ended in 1952. UW has also won 8-consecutive in Seattle. UW swept at ASU and Arizona for the rst time since 2006 and just the fth time overall in team history. UW is the only Pac-12 team that has 3 players ranked among the conferences top-10 in scoring or top-15 in rebounding. Tony Wroten is 4rd in scoring (16.3), Terrence Ross 6th (15.2) and C.J. Wilcox 7th (13.8). Aziz NDiaye ranks 3rd in rebounding (7.5), Ross 5th (6.9) and Desmond Simmons 15th (5.7). The 57 points that Washington scored against Utah were the second fewest in a Husky victory during the Lorenzo Romar era. On Dec. 23, 2005, the Huskies beat Lehigh 54-37. COACH ROMAR Lorenzo Romar joins Cals Mike Montgomery and UCLAs Ben Howland with 100 conference victories each. The last time three or more coaches had 100 league wins at the same time was 1964 - OSUs Slats Gill (276), UCLAs John Wooden (171) and USCs Forrest Twogood (121). Romar has reached the following milestone victories this season: 200 wins at UW (12/16 vs. UC-Santa Barb.), 300 overall wins and 100 conference wins (both 1/21 vs. Stanford). The Feb. 2 game vs. UCLA was Romars 500th overall as a head coach. He joins Mike Montgomery, Dana Altman, Herb Sendek and Ben Howland in the 500 club. Also, the Nov. 14 game vs. Portland was his 300th at UW.

The conference will honor 11 former student-athletes and one former coach with their induction into the Pac12 Mens Basketball Hall of Honor presented by Bank of the West during the 2012 Pacic Life Pac-12 Mens Basketball Tournament. Irvine tore up the UW record books and made a mark on the program that remains visible today. In 1970, Irvine was drafted by both the NBA Seattle SuperSonics and the ABA Virginia Squires. He opted to sign with the Squires and played ve years with the team, then two seasons with the Denver Nuggets. In 1980, Irvine embarked on a 25-year career in the NBA working as an assistant coach, head coach and vice president of basketball. Irvine also worked in the Pacers front ofce helping to assemble their successful teams during the 1990s.

his decision on Nov. 12 after not playing in the rst game vs. Georgia State. Andrews came to Washington this summer fully intent on redshirting his rst season. Those three join a long list of Huskies on the roster that have red-shirted during their Husky careers -- also Darnell Gant, C.J. Wilcox and Desmond Simmons. Tribute To Andrew Moritz The Huskies played in the Jimmy V Classic to honor the former coach that displayed a ghting spirit against cancer that serves as an inspiration. Former Husky Basketball walk on Andrew Moritz embodied that same ghting attitude through his own brave battle with cancer. On Nov. 26, Moritz succumbed to his three-year ght with a rare sarcoma -- desmoplastic round cell tumor. Moritz, 33, was a walk-on player from 1996-99 who played on two NCAA tournament teams. He was diagnosed in 2008 with his disease and only given a few months to live. He spent the past three years ghting cancer with the same spirit he showed on the basketball court. Despite scoring just 17 points in 78 minutes over 34 games in a 4-year span, Moritz was a popular teammate and leader of his squads. UW honored his memory with a patch displaying his initials during the Marquette game and presented his family with a No. 11 jersey and played with an AM patch on the court vs. Oregon State. Stuck In Neutral? After the NYC trip, UW is 5-9 in regular season neutral site games (1-9 in the last 10) during Lorenzo Romars 10-year tenure at the school. But, when it counts during the post-season, the Huskies are stellar on neutral site courts. The Huskies are 13-5 under Romar at the Pac-10 Tournament and have won three conference championships. UW is 8-6 on neutral sites for the NCAA tournament and have made three Sweet 16 appearances. Dawgs Take Over Broadway In conjunction with the Huskies trip to New York City to participate in the Jimmy V Classic and CARQUEST Auto Parts Classic, the 15 members of the team are taking an independent study drama class. Players attended seminars on the history of Broadway, the study and reading of plays plus the basics of acting, Worth Waiting For

Husky Pac-12 Players Of The Week Husky players have won Pac-12 Player of the Week honors three times this year. It marks the rst time in team history three different players have won the award in the same year. Since 2005, UW has led the conference by winning the award 22 times (Arizona 19 is second). Terrence Ross was the latest to earn the honor after averaging 21.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.5 assists in wins over Seattle and WSU. Tony Wroten was named the Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week on Jan. 2 after he averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game as UW swept OSU and Oregon. It was just the second time a UW freshman has taken the weekly award (also Spencer Hawes, Dec. 26, 2006) and the rst time a conference freshman has earned the honor since USCs O.J. Mayo on Feb. 25, 2008. C.J. Wilcox earned the very rst award in the history of the Pac12s formation after taking home MVP honors during the World Vision Classic. In all, the Huskies have won the weekly award 45 times. Husky Pac-12 Weekly Honors: Nov. 14: C.J. This original list of candidates was narrowed down to a nal 20 on Jan. 1, nal 10 on Feb. 1, and a nal ve by March 1. Neither guard made the nal 10. Pac-12 Notes

The Huskies were picked to win the Pac-10 Conference in a vote among media members during the preseason. They looked strong out of the gate, blowing away all takers before back-to-back losses to No. 8 Kentucky and No. 2 Michigan State at the Maui Invitational. UW entered the Pac-10 season 8-3 -- a loss at Texas A&M the only other blemish on the preseason slate. UW jumped out of the gate 7-1 in the Pac-10, their best conference start in 25 years. A three-game skid left the Dawgs reeling and eventually led to six losses in the nal 11 conference games. UW was able to circle the wagon at the Pac-10 Tourney and left as the Pac-10s automatic bid to the NCAAs for a second-consecutive season, thanks to a buzzer-beater by Isaiah Thomas that lifted UW over regular-season champion Arizona. Washington was rewarded with a No. 7 seed and shipped off to Charlotte, N.C. for the NCAA Tournament. They traveled further than any other team in the eld, but were undaunted beating No. 10 seed Georgia in the East Regionals second-round. They played North Carolina with an opportunity to go to the Sweet Sixteen, but lost 86-83 to the Tar Heels who improved to 29-1 all-time in NCAA tourney games in their home state.
